Thefollowingaresomeprocedurestofollowbeforecallinginforserviceorwarrantywork:
UNIT DOES NOT RUN
1.CheckBaery&Connecons.
2.CheckElectricMotor.
Useadoubleleadjumperandconnectthemotor’stwo
prongplugdirectlytoabaery.
3.Ifthemotorslldoesnotwork,disconnectthemotorfromthe
actuator(heldonbytwosmallnuts)andplugdirectlytothe
baery.
4.Ifthemotorworkswhenitisdisconnectedfromtheactuator,the
actuator/motorassemblyneedsreplaced.
5.Ifthemotordoesnotworkwhendisconnectedfromtheactuator,
themotorneedsreplaced.
6.CheckRelayControl&PushBuonSwitch.
Unplugthethreeprongconnectorattherelaycontrol
andrunajumperwirebetweentheredandthegreenwiresto
godownandbetweentheredandbluewirestogoup.
IftheunitdoesnotruntheproblemistheRelayControl.
IfitdoesworkthentheproblemisthePushBuonSwitch.
UNIT RUNS IN ONE DIRECTION ONLY
CheckRelayControl&PushBuonSwitch
Unplugthethreeprongconnectorattherelaycontrol
andrunajumperwirebetweentheRedandtheGreenwiresto
godownandbetweentheRedandBluewirestogoup.
IftheunitdoesnotruntheproblemistheRelayControl.
IfitdoesworkthentheproblemisthePushBuonSwitch.
UNIT RUNS BUT MAKES A GRINDING NOISE AND HAS LOW POWER
Gearcaselowongrease.Addacoupleofpumpsof
marinegradegrease.
UNIT RUNS BUT DOES NOT MOVE
ReplaceActuator.
UNIT RUNS BUT MAKES CLICKING NOISE OR JUMPS
Replaceactuator.
UNIT STARTS AND RUNS ON ITS OWN
Replacerelaycontrol.
DETERMINE IF WATER IS IN ELECTRIC MOTOR
Removethroughboltthatisclosesttothewiresandlookforan
indicaonofrustonthebolt.Rustindicateswaterinsideofthemotor
housing.Motorandactuatorshouldbereplaced.
