Important Instructions
We recommend that you observe the instructions contained throughout this manual when using your
CPU ATLAS Module, they are intended to give users important guidelines to lower the risk of
personal injury, electric shock, fire or damage to equipment.
Exclusion of Accident Liability Obligation
Eurotech Spa shall be exempted from the statutory accident liability obligation if the user fails to
observe the safety instructions.
Liability Limitation / Exemption from the Warranty Obligation
In the event of damage to the device caused by failure to observe the instructions in this manual and
eventually on the device (especially the safety instructions), Eurotech Spa shall not be required to
honour the warranty even during the warranty period and shall be exempted from the statutory
accident liability obligation.

Safety Instructions
Retain and follow all the operating instructions, warnings and information herein.
Observe any warning notices on the product.
In order to lower the risk of personal injury, electric shock, fire or equipment damage,
users should observe the following precautions:
General precautions
Take notice of the indications on the labels / silk-screen images on the product
Except where expressly specified in the documentation, users should not attempt to
repair Eurotech products.
Do Not Expose to Direct Heat Sources: keep the product away from heat sources,
for example heaters, radiators, engine casing, etc.
Do Not Insert Foreign Objects Into Product: never insert objects in any slot (if
present).
o Ventilation slots should remain unblocked to insure correct cooling.
o Inserting foreign objects into a card slot may result in system failure
Installation: Always insure that the apparatus is installed using adequate supports.
When installing the product, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and use the
recommended mounting accessories.
Ensure proper ventilation. Observe any instructions regarding air circulation
Power Cables and Accessories Safety Guidelines
Always Use Appropriate Power Supply: only start the product using a power supply
that meets the specifications as stated on the voltage label and within the user
manual. In case of uncertainty about the required power supply, please contact the
Eurotech technical support team.
Use Certified Power Cables.
Position Cables With Care: avoid positioning cables where they may be crushed.
Cleaning: before cleaning the product, disconnect it form the main power supply.
Do not use spray detergents.
Only use a damp cloth.
DO NOT attempt to clean exposed electronic components (in this case only
use a air duster)
Damage Requiring Assistance: disconnect the product from the main power supply
point and contact Eurotech technical support team whenever the following conditions
occur:
The product suffered any form of damage.
There is evidence of overheating.
The product does not work normally when operating instructions are carried
out.

WEEE
The information below is issued in compliance with the regulations as set out by the 2002/96/CE
directive, subsequently superseded by 2003/108/CE, and refers electrical and electronic equipment
and the management of their waste (WEEE)
When disposing of a device, including all of its components, subassemblies and materials that are
an integral part of the product, you should consider the WEEE directive.
This symbol has been attached to the equipment or, in the case that this is not possible,
on the packaging, instruction literature and/or the guarantee sheet. By using this symbol, it
states that the device has been marketed after August 13th 2005, and implies that you
must separate all of its components when possible, and dispose of them in accordance with
local waste disposal legislations.
Because of the substances present in the equipment, an improper use or disposal of the refuse can cause damage
to human health and to the environment.
With reference to WEEE, it is compulsory not dispose of the equipment with normal urban refuse, arrangements
should be instigated for separate collection and disposal.
For more detailed information about recycling of WEEE, please contact your local waste collection
body.
In case of illicit disposal, sanctions will be levied on transgressors.
RoHS
This device, including all it components, subassemblies and the consumable materials that are an
integral part of the product, has been manufactured in compliance with the European directive
2002/95/EC known as the RoHS directive (Restrictions on the use of certain Hazardous Substances).
This directive targets the reduction of certain hazardous substances previously used in electrical and
electronic equipment (EEE).

Product definition
The Eurotech DuraVIS 3010 is a rugged flat panel 6.4 inches TFT Liquid Crystal Display. This
hardened military/avionics-grade monitor features daylight readability, lightweight aluminum chassis,
and anti-glare protective covers for impact protection and explosive decompression. Designed to meet
military GAM EG13 environmental standards (French equivalent to MIL STD), this rugged Commercial
Off the Shelf (COTS) flat panel incorporates a hardened mechanical design well suited for avionics,
vehicular, and other high reliability applications.

Modes Management
Standard mode is Backlight mode, you can enter OSD mode by using the OSD MODE button, and the
display will automatically leave this mode 10s after the last use of a button.
Function mode is only engaged by the ASCII command “A” through the RS485 link.
After that it will stay in this mode until it received “Z” through the RS485, of power off
The “S” command can check active mode, answer is “F” for function mode “N” for normal mode.
In function mode each push on button generates a character:
K1 = “1”

K5 = “5”
K6 = “6”
Serial link RS 485 parameters are
19200, parity even, 1 bit stop.

Returning For Service
Before returning any of Eurotech's products, you must contact the Eurotech Technical Support
sending an e-mail (support@eurotechfrance.fr) with the model number, serial number, short fault
description and contact details to obtain a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number.
Note. You must have the RMA number in order to return any product for any reason!
Pack the system in anti-static material and ship it in a sturdy container with enough packing material to
adequately cushion it.
Warning! Any product returned to Eurotech improperly packed will immediately void the
warranty for that particular product!
