1 Installing MUI Package
1 Introduction
WES7 includes support for multiple languages through the use of MUI packages. You can easily
localize your device to particular language simply by adding MUI support to WES7 (SP1) operating
system.
This is a great way to change your computer’s language into your own native language, and is
especially useful for expatriates around the world. Also, if you’d like to simply change or add an
input language instead of changing the language throughout your operating system.
This guide provides instructions on how to install VXL Multilingual User Interface (MUI) packs for
WES7 (SP1) operating system.
Prerequisite
The prerequisites on the image before installing MUI Add-on on WES7 (SP1) are as follows:
Disk space on C:\ drive should be a minimum of 500MB or more.
Disable FBWF before the installation as the utility works only when Write filter is disabled or
EWF enabled state.
During the MUI installation it is recommended that the thin client is not disturbed (Power off
/working with other programs, etc).

2 Installing MUI Package
WES7 includes the ability to install Multiple User Interface Languages. Once the language pack is
installed, the entire system’s regional settings, keyboard layout and UI changes to the respective
installed language. By installing the package, all the existing user profiles and the new user profiles
will be converted to the installed MUI Language.
To install MUI packages:
1. Download the required MUI package from the VXL support website. https://support.vxl.net.
Note:
You will have to register with the VXL support website before downloading.
For complete installation, the thin client will reboot thrice.
2. To install using XLManage Application Deployment, login as any user, but if you want to install
manually, login as an administrator.
3. Execute the MUI Add-on’s package. The thin client reboots and on the next boot up the
following installation progress messages appear.
The Install or uninstall display languages window appears with installation progress bar.

The system will reboot once the installation process is complete.

3 Uninstalling MUI Package
If you wish to return to the default language of your thin client, uninstall the MUI pack from the
Control Panel’s programs and features option. Once you have rebooted the system, you will see the
system set to default language i.e. English interface, ready to use.
To uninstall MUI package:
1. Login as Administrator on the thin client.
2. Click Start >Control Panel> Programs and Features.
3. Right click on MUI Program and select Uninstall.
4. The following uninstallation progress message appears.

After reboot, Install or uninstall display languages window appears with uninstalling progress
bar.
The system will reboot once the un-installation process is complete, login as default user.

Insufficient disk space to install the Package!!!
Free up the disk space and try again.
Free disk Space on C Drive is not sufficient to install
this package; required free space to install this
package is minimum 500MB
A Non-English MUI package has been already
installed on this client. Application cannot be
deployed
Any of the MUI add-on packages is already installed
on the thin client, this package will not install,
remove the previous installed MUI package
Note: On VXL WES7 (E) Images any single MUI
add-on can be installed
