Important
ß Do not expose to temperatures of more than 50 °C
(e.g. glove compartment of cars),
nor direct sunlight for long periods of time.
ß Keep out of the reach of children.
ß Do not allow the appliance to become wet.
ß When starting the appliance please ensure that it is held away
from the hair, face and clothing. Do not start the appliance while
it is in the hair in order to avoid damage to the hair. Energy cell
contains flammable butane gas under pressure.
ß Keep away from flames (burning cigarettes as well).
ß Use Braun energy cells only.
ß Avoid touching the hot parts of the product.
ß When hot, do not place on surfaces which are not heat resistant.
ß When using the steam function, be aware the steam is hot.
When applying it to your hair, please use at a safe distance away
from the scalp.
ß Do not take apart, puncture or incinerate.
ß If the appliance is damaged, stop using it immediately.
ß For repairs refer to authorised Braun Service Agents only.
ß The appliance should be used on dry hair only.

Before use
Before use
Inserting or changing the Braun energy cell
The appliance comes with both, a small handle for styling
on the go and a large handle for using at home. The small
handle accomodates the mini energy cell (a), whereas the
maxi energy cell (b) fits into the large handle. In order to
change the energy cells, the energy supply must be
switched off (switch A at position «0»).
Press the «open» release button F and pull off the handle.
Insert a Braun energy cell into the handle as shown in
the illustration (arrow on energy cell pointing upwards).
Push the handle with the energy cell back onto the appli-
ance until it snaps into place.
The long handle is provided with an energy level indicator
G that shows when the filling level of the energy cell is
50% and below.
Only use Braun energy cells. These are available from
the store where this appliance was purchased, as well
as from authorised Braun Service Agents. The energy
cells can be taken out or changed at any time, even if
they are only partly filled.

Filling the water reservoir for the moisturising function
For storage and travelling, make sure you always empty
the water reservoir after use. Otherwise drops of water
may get into the appliance and affect the heat up pro-
cess for some time. After the water has dried out the
appliance will work normally again. If not using the steam
function, take off the water reservoir.

Fill the reservoir with
water (tap water only).
Pull the transparent
water reservoir D off
the appliance as
shown.
Replace the plug.
Re-insert the water
reservoir until it snaps
into place.
A full water reservoir
will last for approx.
50 steam shots.

Let the switch slide
back to position «1».
Red dots shining in
the ignition control
window indicate that
the styler has ignited
and is heating up.
In the unlikely case
that it does not heat
up, make sure the gas
is on and push the
start switch again.
After approx. 2 to 3
minutes, the ready
indicator dot B
changes colour. Only
then is the appliance
heated up to the opti-
mum styling tempera-
ture and ready for use.

Styling
Braun Cordless offers various styling functions:
The moisturising function can also be used with the brush
attachment. To add steam to a section of hair, press
down the top of the water reservoir for approx. 2 to 3
seconds (you will feel a click).
Steam will be released from the
openings of the tong, giving the
hair just the required amount of
natural moisture for a more gentle
styling and longer-lasting styles.

back to position «0».
Make sure the appliance is switched off and cold.
Always empty the water tank. The tong and the handle
can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth if necessary.
Never immerse the appliance in water.
The protective cover can be cleaned in warm, soapy
water.
When travelling by air, please note that no more than
one appliance may be carried by each crew member or
passenger aboard an aircraft in checked luggage, if the
protective cover is secured over the heating element.
Separate gas refills are not permitted.
In case of doubt check with your airline.

This product conforms to the EMC-Directive
2004/108/EC.
After use or cleaning, always place the heat-resistant
cover I on the appliance. It can be placed on the product
immediately after usage. The cover will ensure that the
appliance does not turn on accidentally.

The guarantee becomes void if repairs are undertaken by
unauthorised persons and if original Braun parts are not

To obtain service within the guarantee period, hand in or
send the complete appliance with your sales receipt to
an authorised Braun Customer Service Centre.
