“The binding posts are of excellent quality although with-
out support for biwiring. The bass port is on the back sida.
The speaker has a 6 1/2” woofer and a 1” super tweeter. It
prefers an amplifi er within the area of 25 - 125 Watt.”
“The speaker is tested together with the 25 Watt ampli-
fi er Marantz Eclipse 19, a miniaturesystem. The test starts
timidly with laidback popjazz and the expectations moves
on to an appreciating smile. The sound is warm without
exaggeration and the small amplifi er shows Evidence
entire register. Perhaps not unexpectedly from a bass spe-
cialist, the 6,5” woofer goes much deeper than expected.
With slight suprise I turn on music with more tempo, and
once again we are met by entire frequency range in a very
fl attering performance. E.5 bids us a closeness and fi re
that we earlier only have found in much more expensive
equipment. If one only think of a speaker as a wooden box
with a few membrans made of paper and a simple cross-
over fi lter, its hard to understand. The truth is probably
something else, like complex calculations and frequent
listening connected to picky choice of material. Can it be
possible that Audio Pro has hit the target in their fi rst try
in designing their own elements. ... With a more powerful
amplifi er (the Marantz amplifi er we used in this test fulfi lled
the minimumdemand), its very possible that this speaker
has qualities, earlier unknown in this price category.”
