For optimal results, the filling should be placed well within the
sandwich slices.
Lower the upper cooking plate carefully onto the bread until
the panini grill is tightly clamped, then lock securely with the
clip.
After 2-3 minutes, lift the cool-touch handle to check whether
your sandwiches are sufficiently brown. The cooking time
required to obtain crisp, golden brown sandwiches depends
on the type of bread, fillings used, and your personal taste.
Once cooked, use a non-metallic utensil to remove. Do not
use sharp or abrasive kitchen utensils to cut your sandwich
while it is on the non-stick plates.
After use, unplug the panini grill from the outlet, and allow it to
cool completely before cleaning or storing.
Note: On first use, you may notice smoke and a slight odor.
This is normal due to the initial heating of the internal
components.

Using Your panini grill
Before using for the first time, wipe the non-stick cooking plates
with a clean, damp cloth.
Plug the panini grill into a 120V/60Hz power outlet. The red light
will illuminate.
Close the unit using the cool-touch handle to allow it to pre-heat
while you prepare your fillings.
After approximately 3 minutes, the green light will illuminate to let
you know the plates are ready for use. During cooking, the green
light will cycle on and off as the thermostat maintains the correct
temperature which ranges from 140-200
°F.
Place two slices of bread next to each other on the non-stick
plates. For crispy, golden brown sandwiches, spread a thin layer
of butter or margarine on the outward-facing slices although this
is not a requirement.
Add your filling onto each slice and then cover with a second
slice of bread with the buttered side facing the upper cooking
plate. Although there is room for two sandwiches, you can toast
only one if needed.
