ECC memory for single-bit memory error correction and multi-bit

System memory expandable to 6 GB
Up to 2 GB of configurable online spare memory

ProLiant DL380 Generation 2 servers provide support for peripheral
components. The PCI riser cage has three expansion slots:
Two 64-bit/66-MHz full-length PCI Hot Plug slots
One 64-bit/33-MHz full-length PCI slot
SCSI Subsystem
ProLiant DL380 Generation 2 servers include a SCSI subsystem with the
following features:
System board connectors for Smart Array 5i Controller
One internal SCSI port supporting up to six internal hot-plug SCSI hard
drives
One external VHDCI SCSI connector supporting up to 14 hard drives or
tape drives
Maximum data transfer of 160 MB/s on each SCSI bus

Mass Storage Devices
The ProLiant DL380 Generation 2 server can house up to eight mass storage
devices (Figure 1-2). Standard configurations for drive bays include:
Support for up to six 1-inch, hot-plug SCSI hard drives
Support for one optional 1.6-inch Compaq Universal Hot-Plug Tape
drive with five hot-plug SCSI hard drives installed
One bay occupied by a slimline 1.44-MB diskette drive
One CD MultiBay occupied by a removable 24X IDE CD-ROM
drive
