1. BARCO IQ FIRMWARE V3.10
1.1 Introduction
Domain of application
This new software has been issued with the introduction of an updated Pixel Map Processor
(PMP).
The new software upgrade is applicable on following projectors (also if they are not equipped
with the upgraded PMP):
• iQG/R (PRO)350
• iQG/R (PRO)500
Note that even if the firmware version has been standardized (same version), there are still
two firmwares : one for the iQ Graphics and one for the iQ Reality version :

Important note !
In case of the iQ Pro this fir
mware version is not compatible with the old Single B oard
Computer (SBC).
Never upgrade (to V3.10) a pro jector that contains an old SBC (see also InfoT 640 con-
cerning V3.00).

Note that some iQPro projectors may have been upgraded with a new
SBC.
This software version update is no t a must. It will only allow a dimming
function on the iQ 500 series (with restrictions depending on lamp run-
time :see below) .
The upgrade Tool (Reminder ! )
If you are u p grading from a version 2.xx (for Reality) or from 1.xx (for Graphics) do not
forget to run first the upgrade tool (iQUpgradeAssist.exe) available in the V3.00 firmware
zip file on the Technical Doc explorer or the PartnerZone. Note that this is handled in the
InfoT640 (upgrade to V3.00)
1.2 New functionality
Overview
• Lamp power mode menuitem added in the Lamps menu (advanced item) : One can
select the Full power mode or the Economy mode. The maximum number of switches
is 6 within the first 100 hours o f the lamp life (i.e. if one of the 2 lamps has a runtim
e
higher than 100 hours the switching from one mode to another will not be possible).
