GENERAL
Dear Wap Customer,
We would like to thank
you for your confidence
in us, and can assure you
that you have made the
right decision.
Your Wap high-pressure
cleaner has been desi-
gned specially for
professional use.
Please read the operating
instructions carefully.
Compliance with the
operating instructions
and the tips they contain
will make cleaning work
with this machine easier
for many years to come.
Use only the Wap
products tailored to your
high-pressure cleaner as
cleaning and care agents.
We discover again and
again that problems with
the machines result from
the use of unsuitable
products.
The following table gives
an overview of the
possible applications for
the cleaners and of the
necessary Wap cleaning
and care products.
Unsuitable cleaners
lead to poor cleaning
results and may cause
damage to the machi-
ne. Predilute the
concentrate as instruc-
ted.

WORK
ASSEMBLY
Place cleaner handle
(Fig. A/15) onto the
frame and tighten
the four hexagon
socket-head cap
screws (WAF 5) (Wap
2200 - 3300 only!).
Screw the high-
pressure hose firmly
onto the VarioPress
spray gun (Fig. B/1).
Push back the slide
of the locking pin
(Fig. B/4).
Screw on the RotoFix
high-pressure spray
lance firmly (Fig. B/2)
and at the same time
push back the slide
of the locking pin
(Fig. B/4).
Connect the water
hose (Fig. D/1 or E/1
and L).
The use of a fabric-
reinforced water hose
with a nominal width of
at least ½“ (13 mm)
is recommended (Fig. L).
Connect the high-
pressure hose to the
high-pressure outlet.
Ensure that the union
nut is tightened
securely (Fig. D/2 or
E/2).
Turn on the water
tap.
Plug the cleaner plug
into a plug socket
(Fig. M).
SUCTION OPERATION
Before using the
cleaner in suction
mode, first connect
the cleaner to the
water tap via the
water hose and
switch on briefly.
This is important in order
to avoid dry running
during suction operation.
Unscrew the water
hose
Remove the tap
connection or hose
adapter.
Screw the suction set
(Fig. P) directly to
the water connection
and fill the hose with
water via the suction
screen. Hang the
other end of the
suction hose into the
water reservoir.
STARTING OPERATION
Turn the ON/OFF
switch to position „I“
(Fig. G).
Unlock the trigger of
the spray gun and
depress the trigger
(Fig. B/6 and B/5).
Press the trigger of the
spray gun several times
in quick succession to
bleed the system.
12
OPERATION OF THE
ROTOFIX HIGH-
PRESSURE SPRAY
LANCE
The RotoFix high-
pressure spray lance
allows the working
position to be
changed in pressure-
free condition.
Push back the slide
of the locking pin
(Fig. B/4).
Turn the screw fitting
of the RotoFix high-
pressure spray lance
until the pin engages
in the next bore.
OPERATION OF THE
FLEXOPOWERJET
NOZZLE
Turning the FlexoPower-
Jet nozzle allows the
working pressure to be
varied (Fig. C/1).
OPERATION OF THE
PRESSURE AND
WATER FLOW
REGULATOR
Wap 2200 W
Set the pressure and
water volume by
turning the pressure/
volume regulator on
the cleaner (Fig. D/4).
Wap 2200/3300
Set the pressure and
water volume by
turning the pressure/
volume regulator on
the cleaner (Fig. D/4)
or at the VarioPress
control knob
(Fig. B/3).
The set pressure can be
read off from the
pressure gauge
(Fig. D/5 and E/5).
USE OF CLEANING
AGENTS
Predilute cleaning
agent as described
under „General“ and
pour into the cleaning
agent tank (Fig. F).
The intake of cleaning
agent from an external
container is possible (see
„Options“).
Cleaning agent can be
drawn in via the injector
installed as standard only
in low-pressure mode:
Set the pressure/
volume regulator on
the cleaner to
maximum pressure
(Fig. D/4).
Turn the VarioPress
control knob towards
„+“ up to the stop
(Fig. B/3).
Turn the FlexoPower-
Jet nozzle towards
„CHEM“ up to the
stop.
The intaken volume of
cleaning agent can be
regulated by turning the
metering valve
(Fig. D/3 or E/3).
Spray the object to
be cleaned.
Depending on the
degree of soiling, allow
the cleaning agent to
work. Wash down
with a high-pressure jet.
Note!
If the high-pressure hose
is extended, no intake of
cleaning agent is possi-
ble.
Do not allow the
cleaning agent to dry
on the surface to be
cleaned!
FINISHING WORK
Turn the ON/OFF
switch to position „0“.
Close the metering
valve.
Turn off the water tap.
Actuate the trigger of
the spray gun until
the cleaner is depres-
surised.
Insert the trigger lock
(Fig. B/6).
Remove the cleaner
plug from the plug
socket.
Disconnect the water
hose from the cleaner.
13
DISCONNECTING HIGH-
PRESSURE HOSE AND
ROTOFIX HIGH-
PRESSURE SPRAY LANCE
Press the hose lock
(Fig. B/4).
Unscrew the high-
pressure hose.
Push back the slide
of the locking pin
(Fig. B/4).
Unscrew the RotoFix
high-pressure spray
lance.
MAINTENANCE, CARE,
STORAGE
OIL LEVEL CHECK/OIL
CHANGE
Check the oil level in the
cleaner at regular
intervals. The casing has
to be removed in order
to check the oil level.
Change the oil in the
cleaner every 200
operating hours.
Oil grade: SAE 15-W 40
Capacity: see table in
„Specifications“
Maximum filling level:
Wap 1100/1100 W
Lower edge of the filler
plug bore when the
cleaner is in a horizontal
position.
Wap 2200-3300
Up to the middle of the
oil sight glass.
FROST PROTECTION
If the high-pressure
cleaner is stored in a
room is which tempera-
tures below freezing may
occur, anti-freeze must
be drawn in through the
pump before storage.
During the intake of the
anti-freeze, press the
trigger of the spray gun
2 to 3 times. In order to
rule out any risks, the
cleaner should preferably
be stored in a heated
room for some time
before putting it into
service again.
PUTTING INTO SERVICE
AFTER PROLONGED
STORAGE
If the high-pressure
cleaner is not used for a
prolonged period, scale
can settle in the pump,
with the result that the
cleaner can only be
started with difficulty, if
at all. We therefore
recommend that the
cleaner be connected to
a water supply and,
without inserting the
mains plug, be flushed
through thoroughly with
tap water. In order to
avoid electric overloads,
turn the motor shaft using
an Allen key (WAF 6):
(Wap 1100 W only)
Remove the casing
(Fig. H).
Insert the Allen key
through the middle
opening on the
blower cover into the
hex. socket in the end
of the motor shaft
and turn the shaft in
clockwise direction
several times (Fig. K).
CAUTION!
Before putting the
cleaner back into
service and starting
the motor, be sure to
remove the Allen key
from the end of the
shaft.
Fit the casing again.
OPERATING FAULTS
AND REMEDIAL
ACTION
CAUTION!
Before working on the
cleaner, remove the
mains plug and relieve
all pressure in the
cleaner system (see
„Finishing work“).
