Safety information
A fracture may occur owing to continuous
stress or through damage (falling on the floor
or deformation of the original shape). Each
time before use, the tip should therefore be
checked for operational safety by pressing
gently with the thumb or index finger. As an
additional safety measure, the tips should be
loaded mechanically with about 10 N (1 kg)
without operation.
We recommend replacing the tips
every 9-12 months.
Method of use
Regular treatment is very important for successful periodontic therapy, in order to remove
the pathogenic plaque and to clean the root surface. Formation of further plaque should
be reduced as a result. To date, only sharp-edged tips or manual instruments have been
available to the dentist for this work.
With these new tip instruments, subgingival plaque and endotoxins can be removed from
the root surface and efficiently washed away by the internally conducted spray. The
Sonosoft paro tips have been developed specially for finishing and periodontic treatments.
Hard tartar and calculus can be removed using the diamond-coated SONICflex rootplaner
tips and the SONICflex handpiece drive system.
The Sonosoft paro tips are rounded and have no sharp edges. The tips are present in
three different versions in the set. The straight SONOsoft paro tip is suitable for universal
use in any quadrant. For poorly accessible pockets, the angled SONOsoft paro tips can
be used.
If the tip is held in the hand with the threaded end facing the viewer, the angling to the
right or left is readily detectable.
The Sonosoft paro tips are designed for the following areas:
SONOsoft paro
, straight, No. 63 - all quadrants
SONOsoft paro
, angled to the left, No. 64 - Lower jaw left-vestibular
- Lower jaw right-lingual
- Upper jaw right-vestibular
- Upper jaw left-lingual
SONOsoft paro
, angled to the right, No. 65 - Lower jaw left-lingual
-
Lower jaw right-vestibular
-
Upper jaw right-lingual
-
Upper jaw left-vestibular
In order to avoid damage to the root surface, the extreme distal working end of the
Sonosoft paro tip should not be placed against the root surface. Work should be carried
out using only the front, rear or lateral surfaces of the Sonosoft/PIEZOlux paro tips.
Care instructions
Clean the tip externally with an alcohol solution.
Unscrew the tip by turning counterclockwise
with a wrench.
Clean planar surface of the tip and planar
surface of the handpiece with alcohol or a
rubber eraser. If required, unblock the water
passage of the tip using the nozzle needle
supplied.
Sterilisation
The Sonosoft/PIEZOlux paro tips can be sterilised in an autoclave at up to 135°C.
After each sterilisation cycle, the SONOsoft/PIEZOlux paro tips must be
immediately removed from the steriliser since otherwise there may be danger
of contact corrosion.
