STECA Solsum VC

The STECA Solsum VC is a voltage converter that allows you to connect devices that need a lower operating voltage to a 24 or 12V accumulator. Notethecorrectpolarityoftheconnectedusers.Ainverted
polarityoftheusercantechnicallynotberecognised.
WhenthevoltageconverterisconnectedproperlythegreenLED
(OK)isshining.
WhenredLED(WRONGPOLARITY)isshining,thesupplyvoltage
isconnectedatthewrongpolarity.
Theoutputvoltageisresetto3Vwhenthejumperisremoved
duringoperation.

INSTALLATION
Notethatallusersconnectedatthesametimemustnottake
morecurrentthanthemaxiumadmissableloadcurrent.
Important:
Thecoolingslitsmustnotbecovered.
Inordertotakefulladvantageoftheconverter,ithastobe
connectedwiththecurrentsourceandtheusers.Itis
recommendedtoinsertafuse(ca.2A)intothesystemcable.
Thevoltageofallsystemcomponentshavstobecoordinated.
Thishastobecheckedbeforeinstallation

Theinstallationplaceoftheconvertermustbeprotectedfrom
wheatherinluences.Makesurethattheconverterismounted
onawallwiththeterminalshowingdownwards.Ithastobe
madesurethatthereisenoughairforcooling.
1.Connectthecurrentsourcewiththescrewterminal(Figure.1).
Usethebiggestpossiblecablediameter,inordertokeeppower
lossdown.(seetechnicaldata).Onlywhenshort-circuitproof
cablesareusedthebatterycablehasnottobesecured.
Otherwiseafusehastobeinserteddireclyatthepluspoleofthe
battery,inordertoavoidshort-circuitsatthecable tothe
converter.
2)Atlastconnecttheuserswiththevoltageconverter.Pay
attentiontocorrectpolarityduringinstallation,inorderto
avoiddamages.
