INTRODUCTION
Introducing the Squishy Lights Learning Tablet by VTech®!
Press, tap and squish the soft silicon buttons. Each of the nine
shape buttons will light up and flash while introducing colours,
shapes, fun sounds and melodies. The squishy buttons have
different textures and are so fun to touch and feel!

All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks,
removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part
of this toy and should be discarded for your child’s safety.

GETTING STARTED
BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. MakesuretheunitisturnedOff.
2. Locatethebatterycoverlocatedon
thebackoftheunit,useascrewdriver
toloosenthescrewandthenopenthe
batterycover.
3. Ifusedbatteriesarepresent,remove
thesebatteriesfromtheunitbypulling
upononeendofeachbattery.
4. Install3newAAA(AM-4/LR03)batteries
followingthediagraminsidethebattery
box.(Forbestperformance,alkalinebatteriesorfullycharged
Ni-MHrechargeablebatteriesarerecommended).
5. Replacethebatterycoverandtightenthescrewtosecure.
Turn the packaging lock anticlockwise
several times.
Pull out and discard the packaging lock.
Unlock the Packaging Locks:

• Disposeofbatteriessafely.Donotdisposeofbatteriesinfire.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
• Removerechargeablebatteries(ifremovable)fromtoybefore
charging.
• Rechargeablebatteriesareonlytobechargedunderadultsupervision.
• Donotchargenon-rechargeablebatteries.

Disposal of batteries and product
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and
batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates they
must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain
substances that can be damaging to the environment and
human health.
The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked,
indicate that the battery contains more than the specified
value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) set out in
Battery Directive (2006/66/EC).
The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the
market after 13th August, 2005.
Help protect the environment by disposing of your product
or batteries responsibly.
VTech® cares for the planet.
Care for the environment and give your toy a second life by
disposing of it at a small electricals collection point so all its
materials can be recycled.

PRODUCT FEATURES
1. On/Off/Volume Switch
To turn the unit On, slide the On/Off/
Volume Switch to the Low volume
or the High volume position. You
will hear a fun sound, a playful phrase
and a song. To turn the unit Off, slide
the On/Off/Volume Switch to the Off
position.
2. Automatic Shut-Off
To preserve battery life, the Squishy Lights Learning Tablet
will automatically shut off after approximately 40 seconds
without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing any
button or piano key.
NOTE
If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, please
install a new set of batteries.
ACTIVITIES
1. Squishy Buttons
Press the Squishy Buttons to hear
fun sounds, short tunes and playful
melodies, or to learn about colours,
shapes and objects. The lights will
flash with the sounds.

2. Piano Keys
Touch the Piano Keys to play piano
notes and to hear animal sounds,
animal names and sing-along songs.
When a melody is playing, touch the
Piano Keys to the play the song note
by note. The lights will flash with the
sounds.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Ifforsomereasontheunitstopsworkingormalfunctions,pleasefollow
thesesteps:
1. TurntheunitOff.
2. Interruptthepowersupplybyremovingthebatteries.
3. Lettheunitstandforafewminutes,thenreplacethebatteries.
4. TurntheunitOn.Theunitshouldnowbereadytouseagain.
5. Iftheunitstilldoesnotwork,installanewsetofbatteries.
