CD MP3 Player
The enhanced CD player is compatible with regular shaped 12cm disks in
CD Audio, CD-R and CD-RW format, and is also capable of playing CDs
containing MP3 files. If available, ID3 tags for DIRECTORY, ARTIST,
ALBUM and TITLE can be displayed. Copy protected CDs which do not
comply with international audio CD standards (Red Book) may not be
supported.
SD/MMC Card Slot
Allows for the playback of MP3 tracks via SD or MMC card.
External Display Interface (EDI)
The EDI is the ability to connect the standard display in the cockpit when
installing a VDO Dayton Exclusive Line car radio.

Steering Wheel Remote Control Interface
The Steering Wheel Remote Control Interface allows for the operation of
the car radio via the original steering wheel remote control.

4-Channel Preamp Out
The 4-channel line out multiplies the sound power combinations and
pre-amplifier connections. To achieve an optimal signal to noise ratio and
increased dynamic, outputs are supplied at 2V.

Animations and graphics are provided in a 128 by 32 full dot matrix scale.

Communication Interface (Mobile Manager)
The CI 3000

provides a communication interface which connects your
handsfree kit and mobile phone to your VDO Dayton audio system –
allowing you to access all key mobile phone functions conveniently on
the display of the audio system, including accepting incoming calls,
reading text messages, and using the phone book entries, etc. The ideal
accompaniment to the CI 3000 is the optional Bluetooth
®
Handsfree
Terminal CIX 3000 Blue. Experience cable-free in-car communication – the
CIX 3000 Blue takes the place of the conventional handsfree kit with
cradles. Thanks to Bluetooth
®
wireless technology, you no longer need to
connect your mobile to an in-car cradle, you can just leave it in your
jacket. The CIX 3000 Blue can be used as stand alone equipment or
combined with your VDO Dayton navigation radio or audio system.
