Correct use
The WL2S-2 / WL2SG-2 is a photoelectric sensor for the optical, noncon-
tact detection of objects.
Starting operation
1 Lightreceiverconguration:
Observemaximumsensingrange.Alignsensortosuitablereector
within 90° angle. Select position so that the emitted light beam hits
thecenterofthereector.Thesensormusthaveaclearviewofthe
reector,withnoobjectinthepathofthebeam.Thereceiverindicator
lights up with optimal light reception. If the light receiver display does
notlightuporashes,nolightortoolittlelightisbeingreceived.If
this is the case, readjust the photoelectric sensor, clean it or check
the application conditions.
2 Sensitivity setting

and does not need to be adjusted.

2a Mode setting for detection of transparent objects, with automatic
switching threshold adjustment:
Route pin 2 and white cable >2 s < 5 s to L+ (PNP) and M (NPN) until
the yellow indicator LED lights up again. The sensor is now set.
2b Mode setting for detection of non-transparent objects, with 50 %
switching threshold (reserve factor 2) and without switching threshold
adjustment:
Route pin 2 and white cable >5 s to L+ (PNP) and M (NPN) until the
yellowindicatorLEDashes.
The sensor is now set.
2c Mode setting for detection of non-transparent objects, with maximum
sensitivity and without switching threshold adjustment:

Die optoelektronischen Sensoren WL2S-2 / WL2SG-2 werden zum
optischen, berührungslosen Erfassen von Objekten eingesetzt.
Inbetriebnahme
1 EinstellungLichtempfang:
Maximale Reichweite beachten. Sensor im 90° Winkel auf geeigneten
Reektorausrichten.Positionierungsowählen,dassder
SendelichtstrahlinderMittedesReektorsauftrit.DerSensor
mussfreieSichtaufdenReektorhaben,esdarfsichkeinObjektim
Strahlengangbenden.BeioptimalemLichtempfangleuchtetdie
Lichtempfangsanzeige.
Leuchtet die Lichtempfangsanzeige nicht oder blinkt sie, wird kein
oder zu wenig Licht empfangen. Ist dies der Fall, Lichtschranke neu
justieren, reinigen bzw. Einsatzbedingungen überprüfen.
