PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
If the light will
not come on:
There may be a poor connection
Between the light and solar panel.
Check solar panel wire
connector
The photocell may be detecting
daylight and preventing the light
from coming on.
Turn the time switch to
test position to turn off the
photocell, or wait until dark
and recheck.
Battery voltage too low. This unit has
a battery protection circuit that will
prevent the light from coming on if
the battery voltage is too low.
Place unit in the off mode,
check that the solar panel
receives full sun, charge
battery 72 hrs.
Battery may no longer hold a charge. Replace battery.
If the light will
not turn off:
The sensitivity may be set too
High.
Reduce the sensitivity in
small increments.
The coverage area may be too large
And the motion detector is sensing
Unwanted motion.
Try adjusting the motion
detector downward to
reduce the coverage area.
When switching from test to time,
if the motion detector is triggered
during mode selection the light will
stay on until the light has timed out.
Wait for the light to time
out or set sensitivity to
lowest setting, farthest
counter-clockwise position,
before switching modes.
Light does not
trigger on with
motion:
The sensitivity may be set too
Low.
Increase the sensitivity in
small increments.
Motion detector not aimed correctly. See page 7. Aiming and
setting the motion detector.
Light triggers
without motion:
The sensitivity may be set too
High.
Reduce the sensitivity in
small increments.
Motion detector not aimed correctly. See page 7. Aiming and
setting the motion detector.
connecting the new battery, the red wire must go to positive terminal
and black wire must go to negative terminal. NOTE: The light will not
come on if the battery wires are reversed.
