Caring for your car seat
Unlike children, your car seat likes to stay clean.
Cleaning the fabric cover:
Read the label on the removable cover for washing
instructions.
Hand wash in warm water only.
DO NOT tumble dry.
The fabric cover can be easily removed for washing.
1. Remove the cover and machine wash it at 30ºC; line
dry only.
2. To replace the cover follow the instructions above
in reverse.

This product should be used forward
facing until the child is too large for the
seat or exceeds 36kgs.
This product should never be used
rearward facing.

IMPORTANT
Cleaning the seat:
Sponge clean only. Use hand soap and warm water.
DO NOT use solvents, detergents or washing up
liquids as these may weaken the seat.
DO NOT lubricate or oil any part of the seat.
DO NOT wring.
Dry thoroughly before storage.
Store in a well ventilated space, away from direct
sunlight which could damage or fade your product.
Store in a safe place when it is not being used.
Avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.
DO NOT allow to come into contact with corrosive
substances e.g. battery acid.
The correct use and maintenance of your car seat
will ensure it gives long and trouble free use. When
somebody else is using your car seat, ensure that
they also know how to use it and especially the
correct way to adjust it. The safety of your child is your
responsibility.
Please read thoroughly before commencing
installation as an incorrect installation could be
dangerous.
Only suitable for use in vehicles fitted with a
three-point seat belt approved under UN/ECE 16
or equivalent standard.
The category of this child restraint system is
“SEMI-UNIVERSAL” and it is suitable for
installation in the vehicles and in the seat
positions indicated in the vehicle list on
mountainbuggy.com.
Other vehicles and seat positions may also be
suitable for this restraint system.
If in doubt, consult the manufacturer, retailer or
certified installer.
If your vehicle is fitted with ISOFIT fastening points
the seat can be fitted using its ISOFIT connectors.
CONSULT THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR YOUR
VEHICLE TO LOCATE THE FASTENING POINTS OF
THE ISOFIT SYSTEM. IF IN DOUBT, CONSULT YOUR
CAR DEALERSHIP.

Do not remove any labels on the car seat.
Important information is contained on the
labels.
Do not use a car seat that has been in a
crash. A crash can cause damage to the
car seat that you cannot see.
Do not replace the car seat cover with any
other than the ones we recommend as
these parts are integral to the car seat’s
performance.
Do not use a second-hand car seat or
car seat whose history you do not know.
The rigid items and plastic parts of a child
restraint must be so located and installed
that they are not liable, during everyday
use of the vehicle to become trapped by a
movable seat or in a door of the vehicle.
Do not use on the vehicle seats that face
the sides or rear of the vehicle. Use the
car seat only on the vehicle seats that face
forward.
Do not use in any configuration not shown
in the instructions.
Never use this car seat with 2 point vehicle
belts.
Do not use a car seat with damaged or
missing parts.
Do not modify or attempt to modify the car
seat in any way.
Do not take apart or attempt to take apart

This child restraint should be securely
belted in the vehicle even when not in use.
In a crash or sudden stop, an unsecured
car seat may injure other occupants. Make
sure to properly secure any loose objects,
such as luggage or books, in your car as
they may cause injuries in the event of an
accident.
Never leave your child unattended in a car
even for a short time.
Never take your child out of the car seat
when the vehicle is moving.
This car seat is designed to be used only
in vehicles; do not use outside of vehicles.
Never use this car seat without the child
safety seat cover.
Hot! Cover the car seat when left in direct
sunlight. Parts of a car seat may become
too hot for the child's skin. Always check
surfaces before placing a child in the car
seat.
Any straps holding the restraint to the
vehicle should be tight, that device
restraining the child should be adjusted to
the child's body, and that straps should not

be twisted; ensuring that any lap strap is
worn low down, so that the pelvis is firmly
engaged.
Don’t let the adult safety-belt buckle
interfere with the main load bearing
contact points on the car seat. Please
contact the car seat manufacturer if in
doubt about this point.

ADJUSTING BACKREST AND HEADREST
Backrest Angle Adjustment
There are 2 positions for the Backrest.
1. Push outwards the Adjustment Stops on the two
sides and the backrest can be adjusted into Upright
Position.
2. Push inwards the Adjustment Stops on the two
sides and the backrest can be adjusted into Recline
Position.
NOTICE:
Please confirm the position of the Adjustment Stops
on the two sides before use. Please Do NOT use the
car seat when the position of the adjustment stops are
inconsistent.

Base Supporting Angle Adjustment
While used as group 1, the car seat Base Adjustor can
be pulled out to adjust the base angle.
WARNING:
The car seat Base Adjustor is only used for group 1
(from 9–18kg).
Please do not pull out the Base Adjustor for group 2
and 3 (from 15–36kg).
Adjusting Backrest Height
Hold the Release Handle on the back of the backrest
and push/pull up and down at the same time to adjust
the height of the backrest. (The Protection Flanks will
open automatically when adjust the backrest height to
fit the body of the baby.)
NOTICE:
Please adjust the car seat Backrest height according to
the height of the baby to make the Headrest height and
Protection Flank width suitable to protect the baby.

ISOFIT instruction
Note:
Please install the ISOFIT guider sleeve onto the ISOFIT
anchorage (1) when connect the ISOFIT connector to
the anchorages which is between the vehicle seat
surface and the vehicle back. See diagrams:

Child Restraint with Safeguard (9-18kg Child)
WARNING:
In order to use the restraint as group 1 (from 9 to 18
kg) it should be used along with the safeguard.
The car seat MUST be used with a 3 point vehicle seat
belt when used as a child restraint with
safeguard.
Pinch the FIX
Adjustment Buttons
on the two sides and
push out the legs.
Pull the car seat
outwards to ensure
the FIX Connectors
are locked well.
Push the car seat backwards till the car seat
backrest is against the vehicle seat backrest.
Instructions
Put the baby into the car seat and insert the safeguard in the front.
Meanwhile, pull the vehicle belt latch plate, route the vehicle shoulder and
lap belt through the belt guides on the two sides of the safeguard and lock
the vehicle belt latch plate into the belt buckle on the other side. Settle and
tighten the vehicle belt.
WARNING:
Check and ensure the FIX Connectors on the two sides has been locked cor-
rectly. Check and ensure the safeguard has been installed into the car seat
correctly and restrainted by the 3 point Vehicle Belt.
How to take the child out of the restraint
Unfasten the vehicle seat belt, and open the safeguard.
Take the child out of the restraint system.
Fit the safeguard again and fasten the seat belt.
WARNING: Safeguard should always be secured in vehicle when not in use.
Removing the restraint from the car (group 1)
Unfasten the vehicle seat belt.
Pass the seat belt through the guides on the safeguard and
remove it.
Pinch the FIX Release Buttons on the two sides to release the
FIX Connectors.
Take the restraint off the vehicle seat.

Child Restraint without Safeguard (15-36kg Child)
The child seat MUST be used with a 3 point vehicle
seat belt when used as a booster. Safeguard will need
to be removed.
Put the car seat on the vehicle seat, align it with the
ISOFIT interface in the vehicle seat and push forward.
“Click” will be heard when the FIX Connectors are
locked.

WARNING
Make sure the lap section of the vehicle
belt rests as low as possible over the child's
hips and that the shoulder section of the
vehicle belt is positioned over the centre of
the child's shoulder.
Verifiy that the vehicle buckle does not
interfere with the armrest or side of the
booster seat. If it does, move the car seat
to another vehicle seating position.
Do not route the vehicle belt using any
other path when using this car seat. For
assistance contact your retailer or Mountain
Buggy.
Do not use 2 point vehicle belts to install
this car seat.
Only install this car seat on forward-facing
vehicle seats.
1. Put the child seat on a forward-facing vehicle seat
(5a).
2. Have the child sit on the booster seat so their back
contacts the backrest from shoulders to bottom. (5c)
3. Adjust the headrest to fit the child. so the vehicle
belt passes over the center of the child’s shoulder.

4. Position the vehicle belt over the child. Make sure
the vehicle lap belt passes under both armrests of the
booster seat, and the vehicle shoulder belt passes
under the armrest on the side where the seat belt is
buckled and through the upper belt guide. Check that
the vehicle belt is not twisted and then buckle it. (5c)
