Step 2
Introducing Your Cat to the PetSafe
®
Advanced Auto-Cleaning
Litter Box
Some cats may require an adjustment period to get used to a new litter box. Here are a few tips to help with the
transition:
:
Place the new SweepOne
Advanced Auto-Cleaning Litter Box next to your cat’s existing litter box.
:
Allow your cat to have access to both the old and the new litter boxes for at least a week. This time may vary based on
the temperament of your cat.
:
You may want to leave the system unplugged for a few days to allow your cat the opportunity to use the new litter box
without any distractions.
Note: You will need to manually scoop waste from the PetSafe
®
SweepOne
Advanced Auto-Cleaning Litter Box until
your cat is fully acclimated to using the new litter box.
:
Allow your cat’s old litter box to remain dirty. Cats prefer a clean litter box and this will make the new SweepOne
Advanced Auto-Cleaning Litter Box more appealing.
:
Once your cat is acclimated to the SweepOne
, just plug in the system and your cat should find its new litter box clean
and ready for use. Remove the old litter box from the area.

Care and Cleaning
Step 1
General Cleaning*
1. Unplug the power adapter from the unit
2. Unsnap the 4 side clips (2 on each side) by pulling clip out from the bottom and up (A). Release (B). Lift the Litter
Guard away from the Litter Box (C).
3. Use Rake Cleaner to clear any waste behind Rake Guide.
4. Dispose of the used litter.
5. If further cleaning is necessary, the Litter Box (not the Litter Guard) can be cleaned with a mixture of bleach and water
or vinegar and water. This will ensure long term protection of the anti-stick surface. We do not recommend using soap
and water. This could cause the anti-stick surface to deteriorate. The Litter Guard can be wiped with a damp cloth
using a mixture of bleach and water or vinegar and water.
Do not submerge or expose the electrical components to water or cleaning solutions.
6. Rinse and dry thoroughly before reassembling unit.
ABC
* Routine general cleaning once a month is recommended and necessary to keep the PetSafe
®
SweepOne
Advanced
Auto-Cleaning Litter Box operating at high level performance.
Step 2
Reassembly
1. Place the Litter Guard back onto the Litter Box (A) and snap the 4 clips by lifting each clip, hooking it over its top lip
and pulling down (2 on each side) (B).
2. Return receptacle back into place at the end of the litter box. (Add bag to receptacle if applicable before returning).
3. Fill the PetSafe
®
SweepOne
Litter Box with premium clumping, scoopable cat litter to the designated fill line (C). Plug
power adapter into the unit.
4. Turn the unit on and choose between manual or automatic.
ABC
Step 3 - Optional
Rake Cleaning
The two rakes are stainless steel and can be removed for additional cleaning.
1. Make sure the rakes are in Home position before cleaning. If not, press the Manual Button and wait until they return to
the Home position.
2. Ensure the power is off.
3. Remove the top clips (4) on each side (A). The front clips have an indicator (I) and the back clips have an indicator (II).
Clips must be returned to proper position for the unit to function.
4. Squeeze the Spring Release Points on both sides of Primary Rake (B and C), and lift upward and out.
The primary rake has a specialized spade. Do not hit or bang against hard objects. Damage to the spade or rakes will
reduce small waste clump pick up performance.
ABC
5. Repeat the process with the Secondary Rake.
6. Rakes can be cleaned with soap and water.
7. After cleaning, place the rakes back into the designated areas until they snap.
8. Replace the clips.
Note: Make sure clips are properly back in position. Unit will not function if clips are not in place.
