Safety and Warning
This digital terrestrial receiver has been manufactured to satisfy international safety
standards.Please read the following safety precautions carefully.
Safety Instructions and Precautions
1. MAINS SUPPLY
AC 100 ~ 240V 50/60Hz Max 1.0A
Operate your product only from the type of power source indicated on the marking
label. If you are not sure of the type of power supplied to your home, consult local
power company. Disconnect the receiver from the mains before you start any
maintenance or installation procedure.
2. OVERLOADING
Do not overload a wall outlet, extension cord or adapter as this may result in electric
fire or shock.
3. LIQUIDS
The receiver should not be exposed to any liquids such as dripping or splashing. In
addition, no objects filled with liquids, such as vase, shall be placed on the apparatus.
4. CLEANING
Disconnect the receiver from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a light damp cloth
(no solvents) to dust the receiver.
5. VENTILATION
The slots on top of the receiver must be left uncovered to allow proper airflow to the
unit. Do not stand the receiver on soft furnishings or carpets. Do not stack electronic
equipments on top of the receiver.
6. ATTACHMENTS
Do not use any unsupported attachments as these may be hazardous or cause
damage the receiver.
7. CONNECTION TO THE AERIAL
Disconnect the receiver from the mains before connecting or disconnecting the cable
from the aerial. Failure to do so can damage the aerial.
8. CONNECTION TO THE TV
Disconnect the receiver from the mains before connecting or disconnecting the cable
from the aerial. Failure to do so can damage the TV.
9. EARTHING
The aerial cable must be buried in the ground. The buried cable of the system must
comply with SABS 061.
10.LOCATION
Place the receiver indoors to avoid exposing it to lightening, rain or sun. Do not place
it near a radiator or heat register.
Make sure it has more than 10 cm clearance from any appliances susceptible to
electromagnetic influences, such as TV and VCR.
Do not block these openings with any object, and do not place the product on a bed,
sofa, rug, or other similar surface.
If you place the product on a rack or bookcase, ensure that there is adequate
ventilation and that you have followed the manufacturer's instructions for mounting.
Do not place the product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table where it
can fall.
A falling product can cause serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage to
the appliance.
11.LIGHTNING, STORM, or NOT IN USE
Unplug the product from the wall outlet and disconnect the aerial during a lightning
storm or when left unattended and unused for long periods of time. This will prevent
damage to the unit due to lightning and power-line surges.
12.EXTRANEOUS OBJECTS
Do not insert anything through the openings in the unit, where they can touch
dangerous voltage point or damage parts.
13.REPLACEMENT of PARTS
When the replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician uses
replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or those that have the same
characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in additional
damage to the unit.
Warning
1. Follow these directions in order not to damage the power cord or plug.
Do not modify or process the power cord or plug arbitrarily.
Do not bend or twist the power cord too much.
Make sure to disconnect the power cord with the plug held.
Keep heating appliances as far as possible from the power cord in order to prevent
the cover vinyl from melting.
2. Follow these directions. Failure to follow one of them may cause electrical shock.
Do not open the main body.
Do not insert metals or inflammable objects inside the product.
Do not touch the power plug with a wet hand.
Disconnect the power cord in case of lightening.
3. Do not use the product when it is out of order. If you continue to use the product
when defective, serious damage can be caused toit. Make sure to contact your local
product distributor if the product is out of order.

First Time Installation
After all the connections have been made properly, turn on your TV and switch the TV to
the input that the set-top box is connected to. Make sure the receiver is connected to the
mains and turn on the power switch on the rear panel. If you are using the receiver for the first
time, you should do some settings first. Use the remote controller to finish the installation.
When the receiver is on, you can see the logo of “ ” first on the screen. After a
while the menu will be shown. Press the keys

Basic Operations
Once channel search is completed, you can start to watch digital terrestrial TV channels
and radio broadcasts. Some typical operations are given in this chapter.
Whenever you are not using the receiver, press the key on remote control to put
it into standby mote, you also can press it to startup the receiver.

Enter your desired channel numeric using the keys to move to the

Press the key to change the TV screen format, including, 4:3 Full Screen, 4:3
Letter Box or 16:9 Full Screen. The function depends on the broadcaster. and your TV set. It's
recommended that you choose 16:9 Full Screen as default if your TV is wide screen format, or
4:3 Full Screen if your TV is standard-format.

Information banner
Whenever you change channel, using the keys or the number keys, the receiver
displays the channel picture along with an information banner at the bottom of the screen. This
will remain on the screen for approximately three seconds. The information banner can also
be displayed at any time while watching TV by press the key on the remote control.
Press the key twice to display the detailed information of the current program while
playing; press key again will display the detailed information of the next program or
press the keys to switch between current program and next program; the
information will disappear if you press the key or key again.

Channel lists
Switching between TV and Radio channels
Press the or key to display the channel list, there are 8 different modes of the
channel list, including All Channel, TV, Radio and 5 favorite channel list. You can press
keys to switch between these modes and press OK key again to confirm the
mode change, and the highlighted channel will be displayed. You can't change to a channel
list mode without any channel included.

Date and time
The time is displayed on the information banner with other information, and if you want to
see the date and time while you are watching a programme, press the TIME key, your TV will
display the current date and time in a panel on the right-top of the screen.

Basic Operations
As well as broadcasting TV and Radio programmes, some broadcasters also send
information about current and future programmes such as : programme titles, show times and a
brief descriptions of what the programme is about. This set-top box displays this information on
the Electronic Program Guide (EPG).
The set-top box provides two EPG display options. They are called 'Now&Next' and '7 Day'.
In 'Now&Next' mode, the EPG page will contain the information about the current and the
next program, while in '7 Day' mode you can see information about the channels for the next
seven days (depending on the broadcaster)
The default mode is '7 Day', you can press MENU key to switch between these two modes.

Using the On-Screen Setup Menu
How to display the Main Menu:
Press the key.MENU
Your TV will display the main menu.
The following options are available:
Press the keys to navigate the itemsRIGHT/LEFT
Note:
1. When your TV displays the main menu or any sub menus, the volume control
will not work.
2. There is a brief description in the bottom of the menu page indicating which
keys can be used in this menu.
The receiver features an on-screen menu providing access to a variety of setup and
management controls. Use the remote control to navigate through the menu and activate
required settings.
When you are in the set-up mode of the main menu, Press the key if you
want to go back the previous menu . If you press key you will eventually close the main
menu.
