Customising your phone
Use these settings to make your phone work to suit you.
Change Language
1 From standby, to enter the menu,
2 to select Settings, then Language,
3 to select the required language, and to apply.
Display contrast
Allows you to adjust the display to be readable in a variety
of lighting and temperature conditions.

2 to select Settings, then Contrast,
3 to select required contrast setting and to apply.
Battery saving*
Allows you to conserve battery power by disabling the
display and keypad backlight.
1 From standby, to enter the menu,
2 to select Settings, then Battery saving,
3 to select On (or Off) and to apply.

Alert tones
1 From standby, to enter the menu,
2 to select Settings, then Alert tones. You can set
the following:
• Deep silent – disables all alert and keypad tones.
You can also switch this mode from the standby
screen by pressing and holding – the
icon
is displayed in Deep silent mode,
• Ringer volume – sets the volume of the main alert
for incoming calls,
• Melodies – sets the alerts to use for a variety of
conditions:
• All cases – sets the same alert for all conditions,
• Number stored – sets the alert for incoming calls
from phone numbers stored in your Phonebook,
• Number not stored – sets the alert for incoming
calls from unknown phone numbers,
• Messages – sets the alert for incoming text
messages,
• Alarm – sets the melody for calendar alarms,
• Message waiting – sets the alert used when an
incoming text message is received.
• Key tones – sets the sound played when a key is
pressed.
