WARNING: AT ALL TIMES KEEP YOUR HANDS, CLOTHING, ETC. AWAY FROM THE INLET AND
DISCHARGE OF YOUR VACUUM.
WARNING: STAY CLEAR OF OUTLET AND SURROUNDING AREA WHEN OPERATING.
Pressurized gas and material leaving outlet can cause severe injury or death if personnel are struck.
Rotang fan blades inside can crush or cut.
Never operate without collecon device securely connected to outlet.
1. Place your equipment on a level surface. Posion it so the lter bag will not be blown by the wind
and come in contact with the exhaust system. Prevent the vacuum from moving. If your model is
equipment with a wheel locking device, engage it.
2. Aach the collecon bag, hose or other discharge device. You may also aach a hose to the
discharge in place of a lter bag.
3. Aach the hose to the inlet of the vacuum using the clamp provided.

Note: The vacuum will funcon beer with less hose.
5. Aach the fuel tank to the engine and open the vent on the gas tank. NOTE: The VANTAGE-VAC has
an aached tank.
WARNING: DO NOT OVERFILL THE GAS TANK. ALLOW ROOM FOR EXPANSION OF THE FUEL.
DO NOT LET THE FUEL LINE COME IN CONTACT WITH THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. ALLOW ENGINE

7. Your unit is now ready for service.
REMEMBER SAFETY FIRST!!!!!!
1. When not using the vacuum move the throle to the slow posion.
2. Do not stand close/near to either the inlet, inlet hose, discharge/out, discharge hose, or discharge
collecon bags while the unit is starng, running, or shung down.
3. At all mes, protect yourself. There is always the possibility of material or foreign objects passing

SECTION IV
START-UP PROCEDURE

SECTION V
SHUT DOWN
1. Move the throle to the slow posion. Run the machine for approximately 5 minutes.
2. Turn the engine o.
3. Remove the bag.
4. Disconnect the hose.
CAUTION: Do not remove any inlet or discharge aachment unl the vacuum has come to a
complete stop.
SECTION V
SHUT DOWN
1. ENGINE: Brush o daily (or more oen) the insulaon or dust that may have collected on the
cooling fan grate. Refer to the aached engine manual for other engine servicing.
2. BATTERY: The baery provided with your equipment is of the lead acid type. The baery cables
should be checked daily for corrosion and ghtness.
3. FAN HOUSING AND WHEEL: During the normal use of your vacuum, no maintenance is required on
the fan wheel or housing.
If a problem, noise, or vibraon should occur stop the equipment immediately!! Contact the factory as
soon as possible. Do not operate this equipment unl it has been thoroughly checked by the factory or
factory authorized representave.
CAUTION: The fan wheel assembly has been balanced at the factory. Noises or vibraons
coming from the fan indicate that for some reason the fan wheel has become out of balance.
The fan assembly is rotang at nearly 3600 rpm. In an out of balance situaon the possibility
of damage to the engine, fan wheel or fan housing due to the fan wheel exploding in the
housing is extremely great if allowed to connue. SHUT DOWN the vacuum immediately. Failure to do
so could lead to serious injury or death.
Do not replace the factory fan with any other fan other than the factory approved replacement.
Contact Wm. W. Meyer & Sons if you have any quesons or concerns.
