Cleaning
Pressure wash the repair area. Clean the repair area with
boat soap to remove any organic materials. Clean the
repair with acetone or approved cleaner to remove all
inorganic materials.

Sanding
Tape the backside of the repair using 2" masking tape
to create a backing for the filler. Hand sand, block
sand, or grind the front side of the repair with 80 grit
abrasive beveling the repair area. Clean the repair area
with acetone.

Mix and apply reinforced filler according to manufacturer's
recommendation. Allow filler to cure according to manu-
facturer's recommendation. Sand and feather the repair
with 80 grit abrasive. Clean the repair area to remove all
sanding dust.

Application
Mix and apply finishing filler according to manufacturer's
recommendation. Allow filler to cure according to manu-
facturer's recommendation. Sand with 80 grit abrasive to
knock down any high spots or rough edges. Feather the
repair with 180/220 grit abrasive for gelcoat. Feather the
repair with 320/400 grit abrasive for paint.
