Thank you for purchasing this digital camcorder. Everything you need to take quality digital videos
and photos is included with your camera.
Polaroid makes capturing those special moments as easy as possible.
Please read this manual carefully first in order to get the most out of your digital camcorder.
Note: Your camcorder requires a Micro SD Memory card (up to 32GB) for normal use.
Micro SD Memory cards are not included and need to be purchased separately.
Important:
- Do not open the battery door underwater.
- Close the battery door properly for best water sealing.
- Rinse the camera with clean water after use and keep the camera dry for storage.
- After using the camcorder underwater, the recording quality will be affected as there is still
water inside the microphone and speaker compartment. The sound will resume to normal
once the water has dried out.

1) Batteries
Make sure the batteries have been inserted properly into your digital camera, according to
the polarity shown inside the battery compartment.
Use 2x AA (1.5V) batteries. Alkaline batteries are recommended. (Batteries not included.)
Open the battery compartment door.
Install the batteries into the battery compartment as illustrated above.
Close the battery compartment door.
Note:
Remove the batteries from the camera when not in use for an extended period.
Do not mix alkaline and non-alkaline batteries.
Some features will not work if the battery power level is low.
The energy status of the power is displayed on LCD as shown below:

2) Micro SD Memory Card
Make sure a Micro SD card has been properly inserted into your camera. (Micro SD Memory
card not included.) You must insert the Micro SD Memory Card in order to record and store
your VIDEOS and PICTURES.

To properly insert the Micro SD Memory Card:
1. Turn OFF the Camera.
2. Open the battery compartment door by pressing the lock button down and
simultaneously sliding the battery door in the direction of the arrow on the door.
3. Insert the Micro SD Card into the Micro SD Card slot in the direction as shown on the
camera (see SD icon by the Micro SD card slot). Gently press the Micro SD Card until you
hear a slight clicking sound. This indicates the memory card has been inserted correctly.
Make sure that the Micro SD Card is not in LOCK position (see tiny slider on the side of the
card).
Note:
There is only one right direction to insert the Micro SD memory card into the slot. Do not
force the card into the memory card slot, since it may damage both the camera and the
Micro SD memory card. Re-align the Micro SD card position (as marked) and try again.
After the camera is powered on, a memory card icon will appear on the LCD display. If
you do not see the SD icon on the display, please check if the card was inserted
properly.
IMPORTANT: The Micro SD memory card must be formatted before taking
photographs.
If your SD card is new, or if it was used with other cameras or devices, you need to FORMAT
the card - see simple steps below. If the SD card was previously used, make sure to save all
needed photos and videos before formatting the SD card.
Formatting the Micro SD Memory Card
1. Press the MENU button ( ) in Photo Capture or Video Capture mode.
2. Select the Setup Menu options by pressing the UP/DOWN button.
3. Press the OK/Shutter button to enter the Setup Menu options.
4. Press the DOWN button to highlight and select the Format and then press the
OK/SHUTTER button to confirm.
5. To format the Micro SD Memory Card, select ‘Yes’ and press the OK/SHUTTER button.

To exit the menu without formatting the SD Memory Card select ‘No’ then press the
OK/SHUTTER button. Alternatively, you can press the MENU button to exit.
Note: During formatting of the Micro SD card, all data (pictures & videos - if present) will
be erased. Make sure you save your valuable data before formatting the memory.
Remember, all your files will be erased during formatting!
3) Power On
Press and hold the POWER button to turn on the camcorder.

To be able to download photos and videos to your PC using the Polaroid Instant Memories
Software, you will need the following minimum configuration:
Microsof Windows XP with Service Pack 3, Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 or Windows 7
Pentium® 4 processor (or above)
1 GB of RAM, with 250 MB of free hard disk space
16-bit Color monitor, 1024 X 768 recommended screen resolution
CD-ROM Drive
QuickTime® 6 or higher
Microsoft® Internet Explorer 7 or higher
Windows Media Player 10 or higher
DirectX 9 or higher
Internet connection required
To be able to download photos and videos to your Macintosh using the Polaroid Instant Memories
Software, you will need the following minimum configuration:

Make sure the batteries have been inserted properly into your digital camcorder.
Make sure the Micro SD card has been inserted properly into your camcorder.

Press and hold the Power button to turn your camcorder ON.
After powering on, the LCD screen turns on with your camcorder in Video Capture mode to start.
While the camcorder is on, you can press and hold the Power button down again for a few
seconds at any point to turn your camcorder OFF.
Note: Your digital camcorder also has an Auto Power Off feature that automatically turns off your
camcorder after a specific period of time that your camera is left idle. The Auto Power Off settings
can be set from the ‘Auto Power Off’ Camera settings menu (accessed in either Photo Capture
Mode or Video Capture Mode general Camera Settings menu).

Your camcorder has three main modes:
1) Video Capture Mode - Use this mode to capture videos with your camcorder.
2) Photo Capture Mode - Use this mode to capture photos with your camcorder.
3) Playback Mode (for photos and videos) - Use this mode to view the photos and videos
you have already taken with your camcorder.
When the camcorder is first powered ON, the Video Capture Mode will be active.
The icons that appear on the LCD screen are the best default settings so that you can begin to
capture and enjoy clear quality videos and photos.
To change the active camcorder mode, make sure the camcorder is powered ON and press the
MODE button.
When in Video Capture Mode, this icon will display on the top-left corner of the LCD display.
When in Photo Capture Mode, this icon will display on the top-left corner of the LCD display.
Press the PLAYBACK button to enter the Playback Mode.
When in Playback Mode, MOVIE’ or ‘PHOTO’ will display on the top of the LCD display.

The Video Capture Mode allows you to capture videos with your digital camcorder.
When the camcorder is first powered ON, the camcorder will be in Video Capture Mode.
1) Turn on the camcorder.
2) While in Video Capture Mode use the LCD display to direct the camcorder at the scene you
would like to capture.
3) Press the Up and Down buttons to zoom in or out in order to better set the camera display if
desired.
Note: The zoom bar on the LCD indicates the zoom range.
4) Press the Shutter/OK button to START the video capture.
5) The video icon turns red and the elapsed recording time appears on the bottom of the LCD,
indicating that the record is in progress.
6) To STOP the video record, press the Shutter/OK button again.
7) The video is automatically saved to the camera’s Micro SD Memory card.
The Playback Mode allows you to review and delete photos and videos that you’ve already taken
with you camera.
When you first turn on the camera, the camera will be in Video Capture Mode by default.
Press the Playback button to enter the Video Playback Mode.
All captured videos appear in Movie Thumbnail view.
Note: You can toggle between the Video and Photo Playback Modes by pressing the MODE
button while in Playback Mode. To exit the Playback Mode, press the Playback button again.

1) Selecting your video:
Once in Video Playback mode, press the UP or DOWN button to scroll through
the video thumbnails until you find the movie you would like to view.
Select the video and press the OK button to enlarge to full screen.
2) Playing your selected video:
Press the OK button to START playing the video.
Press the OK button again to PAUSE the video and to continue playing and pausing as
desired.
When playing the video, press the UP button to rewind or the DOWN button to
fast forward the video.
1) Once in Video Playback Mode, select the video you would like to delete.
2) Press the MENU button to enter the Delete Menu.
3) Press the UP button or the DOWN button to select from the following options:
- Yes: to delete the selected video.
- No: to exit the menu without deleting the selected video.
- All: to delete all captured videos. You will be asked to reconfirm:
Select Yes to delete all videos or No to exit without deleting and return to the Movie
Thumbnail view.
4) Once a selection has been made, press the OK/Shutter button to confirm the selection.
5) To exit the Delete Menu at any time and return to the Movie Thumbnail view, press the
MODE button.

The Photo Capture mode allows you to capture pictures with your digital camcorder.
When the camcorder is first powered ON, the camera will be in Video Capture Mode.
Press the MODE button once to access the Photo Capture Mode.
1) Power on your camcorder. Press the MODE button.
2) Use the LCD display on the back of the camera to direct the camera at the scene you would
like to capture.
3) Press the Up and Down buttons to zoom in or out in order to better set the camera display if
desired. You can magnify your subject up to 3 times using the digital zoom.
Note: The zoom bar on the LCD indicates the zoom range.
4) Press the Shutter/OK button to take the picture.
5) The picture is automatically saved to the camera’s Micro SD Memory card.
The Playback Mode allows you to review and delete photos and videos that you’ve already taken
with you camera.
When you first turn on the camera, the camera will be in Video Capture Mode by default.
Press the MODE button to enter Photo Capture Mode, and then press the PLAYBACK
button to open the Photo Playback Mode.
All captured pictures appear in Photo Thumbnail view.
Note: You can toggle between the Video and Photo Playback Modes by pressing the MODE
button while in Playback Mode. To exit the Playback Mode, press the Playback button again.

1) Selecting your Photo:
Once in Photo Playback mode, press the UP or DOWN button to scroll through
the photos thumbnails until you find the photo you would like to view.
Select the photo and press the OK/Shutter button to enlarge to full screen.
2) Once in Photo Playback Mode, select the photo you would like to delete.
3) Press the MENU button to enter the Delete Menu.
4) Press the UP button or the DOWN button to select from the following options:
- Yes: to delete the selected photo.
- No: to exit the menu without deleting the selected photo.
- All: to delete all captured photos. You will be asked to reconfirm:
Select Yes to delete all photos or No to exit without deleting and return to the Photo
Thumbnail view.
5) Once a selection has been made, press the OK/Shutter button to confirm the selection.
6) To exit the Delete Menu at any time and return to the Photo Thumbnail view, press the
MODE button.

Each camcorder mode has a set of menus specific to that mode.
The general Camcorder Settings can also be accessed from the menu.
1) Press the MENU ( ) button to open the main menus for the current mode.
2) Press the UP button or the DOWN button to scroll between the various menus for
the current mode.
3) Press the OK/Shutter button to select and open the highlighted menu option.
4) Press the UP button or the DOWN button to scroll between the various options
within the selected menu.
5) Press the OK/Shutter button to confirm and save the highlighted menu option.
6) Changes made to these options will remain until you decide to change them again at a later
time.
7) At any time you can press the MENU button to exit the sub menus and return to the Main
menu screen. Press the MENU button again to exit the Main menu screen and return to the
previous mode.
Note: The camcorder will remain in the last setting when it is turned OFF and ON again
