Do not disassemble or remodel this equipment.

soot. It may become the cause of fire, electric shock, or a fault.
Do not put in from a vent foreign substance, such as metal or a thing which is
easy to burn.

Chapter1 Installation Procedure
General Procedure
(1) Mounting the necessary unit
(2) Wiring the cable connected unit in according with installation drawings
(3) Checking wiring condition
(4) Setup of VDR/SVDR by Maintenance software
(5) Setup of PC in which the VDR/S-VDR Real Time Monitor is installed
(6) Final check
When Radar IF is connected to VDR/S-VDR, VDR IF (Router)
should be connected for separation between Radar IF and user
LAN.
The Firewall of the VDR IF unit is invalidated beforehand at factory
shipment.
If the operation check is completion, the firewall should be
validated.
Attention
Note
This installation manual is described for version 1.2 of VDR/S-VDR
Real Time Monitor software.
Since the VDR IF (Router) model is changed from AR410 to
AR415S, do not mistake it.
Attention
To set up the VDR/S-VDR for VDR/S-VDR Real Time Monitor, use
the latest Maintenance software (Ver. 1.2.0A).
If your Maintenance software is old version, download the latest
version from Marin Service Home Page.

Since the system configuration is possible various combinations, it explains here by some typical
compositions.
2.1 Basic Composition

2.2 In case of connecting with user LAN
The PCs of each room are connected with user LAN as a monitor terminal, and the system can
be enhanced.
In that case, one Server PC is necessary to deliver data to the Client PCs.
In addition, the number of monitor terminal as Client PC that can be connected with Server PC is
three or less.

2.3 In case of connecting with Radar IF (NWP-46)
In the VDR/S-VDR equipment main Radar image is recorded, and it is possible to capture or
record images of sub Radar, ECDIS and Conning by Radar IF in the VDR/S-VDR Real Time
Monitor.
And, VDR IF (Router) is needed to separate the Radar IF from user LAN.

Open the door of VDR, and connect LAN cables as following.
