Burger Maker 9380
Instructions
BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove all packaging.
• Check all parts for damage, including the power cable. Do not use if damaged.
• Wipe the cooking plates with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Season the cooking plates with a little vegetable oil and rub off the excess with
absorbent paper.
• After this initial seasoning, there is no need to grease the plates after each use.
• Do not use spray-on coatings as these will affect the performance of the non-stick
surface on the cooking plates.
• When using the Burger Maker for the first time you may notice a fine smoke. This is
caused by the heating of some of the components. There is no need for concern.
OPERATION
1. Insert the plug into mains socket. Close the lid and switch the power on at the
power outlet. The red ‘POWER’ light will illuminate.
2. Allow the Burger Maker to pre-heat for approximately 3 minutes until the green
‘READY’ light comes on indicating the Burger Maker is up to temperature and is
ready to use.
3. Fill the spoon (provided) with the burger mixture and form it into a ball. Place the
ball into the recess in the Burger Maker. Repeat for up to four burgers. Close the lid
and cook for approximately 3-5 minutes or until the desired brownness is achieved.
NOTE: The rear of the lid can be lifted so the lid sits flat on top of thicker burgers.
Please read carefully before use
and retain for future reference.
4. Open lid and carefully remove the burgers using heat proof plastic utensils or
tongs; place onto your bread, bun or roll and add your favourite toppings.
NOTE: The lid must be closed at all times when cooking. The non-stick cooking plates
and lid become very hot. Open the lid using the handle only and allow all other parts
to cool fully before handling.
NOTE: Do not use sharp utensils or metal utensils as these may scratch the non-stick
finish of the cooking plates.
CLEANING
Before Cleaning
• Ensure that the Burger Maker is switched off by turning the power off at the power
outlet and then removing the plug from the power outlet.
• Allow the Burger Maker to cool slightly; the burger maker is easier to clean when
slightly warm.
• Always clean your Burger Maker after each use to prevent a build up of baked-on
foods.
To Clean the Cooking Plates
• Wipe cooking plates with a soft damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. If baked-on food is
difficult to remove, brush with a little oil or melted butter.
• Allow to stand for five minutes then wipe with a damp cloth.
• Do not use abrasives, oven cleaners, caustic cleaners or metal scourers as they will
scratch the non-stick surface of the cooking plates.
