To only use heat when you need it - that must be close to
ideal! Using your Zone Regulator, it is up to you how much
heat you want in the house, where you want it and when.
Your Zone Regulator allows you to set:
Your own personal pattern of consumption, which means
that you can adjust the heat plan as required.
General functions, such as comfort temperature, night-
time temperature reduction, frost protection and holiday
plans that deviate temporarily from your normal pattern of
consumption.
At the works, values have been installed for general func-
tions and a typical pattern of consumption (see page 23).
Of course, these values can be changed.
Using your Zone Regulator, you can divide your dwelling into
zones, i.e. one or several rooms with the same pattern of
consumption - such as all the bedrooms. Such a division
makes sense because it allows you to reduce the temperature
in areas of the dwelling at times when these are not in use,
thereby saving as much energy as possible.
The temperature in the individual rooms is adjusted as
required on the room thermostat that comes as part of the
system.

Setting of patterns of consumption
You can set your Zone Regulator to match your needs. Think
of place, time and heat:
Place: Your rooms can be grouped into as many as six heat
zones, e.g. all bedrooms, studies, lounges, etc. All rooms in
a heat zone go by the same time programme.
Time: Each heat zone has its own time programme to
control when there is heat in the rooms. Since your heat
requirement changes during the week, you can divide the
time programme into three different programmes (A, B, C)
that cover different days, e.g. weekdays and weekends.
Heat: Each time programme can be divided into two heating
periods, e.g. heat from 06.00 to 09.00 and again from 15.00
to 22.00.
NB: At the works, all room thermostats are registered under
heat zone M and with the heating periods shown here in
Time Programme A.
See example of pattern of consumption on pages 14-15.

time as a standard feature, set the
function selector on the clock.
You can set and change your time programmes by using the
keys on your Zone Regulator.

How to change values
Registers/unregisters room thermostats or sets and changes
heating periods
Room thermostat numbers are linked (and can thus only
occur in one heat zone) if a room thermostat is registered on
several outputs in the regulator box.
A room thermostat can only be registered on one output:
If a room thermostat is registered on another output, it is
moved away from the old heat zone.
If a room thermostat is unregistered on one heat zone, it
is automatically moved to the next heat zone (e.g. from
zone 3 to zone

Setting the pattern of consumption
NB: Before starting, please ensure that all room thermostats
have been given a number in the regulator box and that this
number has been transferred to the room thermostat, e.g. in
the form of a label on the back of it.
See example on pages 14-15.
< Grouping of rooms/room thermostats by heat zones
NB: At the works, all room thermostats are linked to heat
zone 1. Consequently, the easiest way is to start with zone 2.
Select the heat zone you want to
establish, e.g. heat zone 2.

boxes with room for eight room thermostats each. If your Zone
Regulator uses regulator boxes S1 and S2, their symbols will be
displayed, too, to the left of the related room thermostat.
