• To ensure clean cutting, use a fine-tooth carbide
tip blade. If using a circular saw, cut the exposed
side of the board face down; if using a handsaw,
cut the exposed side of the board face up. Put
masking tape on the cutline to reduce chip out
when cutting.
• We recommend drilling a pilot hole using a

bit if you use no. 8 x 1-5/8” countersunk screws.
• Using plastic end caps to cover screws will
improve the appearance of your project.
