This document describes for way to use the following cameras.

2. The requirement equipment to use the camera
The DVI output camera can connect to the HD monitor that has HDMI or DVI input port, to display the image on the
monitor.
The SDI output camera can connect to the HD monitor that has HD-SDI input port, to display the image on the monitor.
Below is the required equipment to use this camera:
A. The power adaptor or the power supply
Please provide +9Vdc to +15Vdc power to the camera. (12Vdc is recommended)
B. The monitor
For DVI output camera: 720P (1280x720 progressive) supports HD monitor with HDMI input port or DVI input port.
For SDI output camera: 720P (1280x720 progressive) supports HD monitor with HD-SDI input port.

3. The camera settings setup method
This camera has below three ways to setup the camera settings:
A. The camera setting with the push button
B. The camera setting with the remote controller (Option, separate accessories)
C. The camera setting with the communication (Option, separate accessories)
Two different type of the remote controller can use for the board type cameras (STC-HD**DV-B)
3.1. The camera setting with the push button
The white balance mode is changeable with the push button on the camera.
Push the button: Push to set white balance
Hold the button: Auto white balance

3.2. The camera setting with the remote controller
The remote controller (RC-HD133) is the separate accessary.
3.2.1. The camera setting by the remote controller connects to 3.5mm stereo pin jack
A. It is necessary to assign the function for each button by the communication software.
Please check the default functions at “E. The remote controller function”.

The below functions are assigned for SW-A to SW-F.
SW-A: Display the OSD menu
SW-B: Up cursor (Menu and select setting)

SW-F: Down cursor (Menu and select setting)

3.2.3. The menu on the screen (OSD) with the remote controller
A. Page 1
1) ALC
Selects enable or disable for the auto light compensation. (Default: ON)
a) ON
Enables the auto light compensation.
It is necessary to select “AUTO” for SHUTTER and GAIN then set the target brightness level.
b) OFF
Disables the auto light compensation.
It is necessary to set the exposure time for SHUTTER and gain for GAIN.
2) GAIN
Selects the gain control mode from below two modes. (Default: AUTO 65)
a) AUTO
The AGC (Auto gain control) mode
It is necessary to set the target brightness level. This target brightness level is common for the auto
shutter.
b) FIXED
The fixed gain control mode.
It is necessary to set the fix gain from 0 (0dB) to 511 (18.345dB).
3) SHUTTER
Selects the shutter control mode from below two modes. (Default: AUTO 65)
a) AUTO
The auto shutter control mode.
It is necessary to set the target brightness level. This target brightness level is common for the auto
shutter.
b) FIXED
The fixed shutter control mode.
It is necessary to set the fix shutter from 0 (1/60s) to 690 (1/100,000s).

4) GAMMA
Sets the gamma (Default: PRESET(0.70))
The gamma setting selects from PRESET(0.70), 0.30, 0.45, 0.50, 0.60, 0.70, 0.80, 0.90 and 1.00.
5) OFFSET
Sets the offset of the image. (Default: 0)
6) CONTRAST
Sets the contrast of the image. (Default: 128)
7) SHARPNESS
Sets the sharpness (edge enhancement) of the image. (Default: 0)
a) H (Default: 4)
Sets the horizontal sharpness
The image becomes sharper image when increasing this setting.
b) V (Default: 6)
Sets the vertical sharpness.
The image becomes sharper image when increasing this setting.
c) CORING (Default: 3)
The noise level also emphasizes when using the sharpness function.
The SN ratio deteriorate for the other than the edge parts is prevented by cutting the signal level
that smaller than this setting.
The image becomes the soft image if this setting sets too large.
8) MIRROR
Selects the flip image setting for the video output from below two flip modes. (Default: OFF)
a) OFF
The standard image (No flip image) is output.
b) ON
The horizontal flip image is output.

1) WB
Selects the white balance mode from below two modes. (Default: AUOT G0000)
a) AUTO
The auto white balance.
The Green gain is adjustable by Gxxx.
b) MANUAL (Default: R199, G000 and B215)
The manual white balance with “Rxx” R gain, “Bxx” B gain and “Gxx” G gain.
The Red gain is adjustable by “Rxxx”. The Green gain is adjustable by “Gxxx”. The Blue gain is
adjustable by “Bxxx”

1) GRAPHICS
Selects enable or disable for the line makers and the shadow mask display. (Default: ON)
a) ON
The line markers and the shadow mask can be display.
The line makers display enable or disable is selecting at “LINE”
The shadow mask display enable or disable is selecting at “SHADOW”.
Sets the color, the size (thickness) and the position for the line makers.
Sets the grade, the position for the shadow mask.
b) OFF
The line markers and the shadow mask do NOT display.
2) LINE
Selects enable or disable for the Line markers display (Default: ON)
a) ON
Two horizontal and two vertical line makers can be display.
It is necessary to set “ON” at GRAPHICS to display the line makers.
The color, the size (thickness) and the position are selectable for the individual line maker.
The line maker does not display when the size is “0”.
“0” position for the horizontal lime maker is top and “0” position for the vertical line maker is the left
end.
The color is selectable from Black, White, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Amber, Pink,
Light Green, Purple and Gray.
b) OFF
The line makers do not display.

This function in the page3 and in the page4 is the same function.
2) SHADOW
Selects enable or disable for the shadow mask display (Default: ON)
a) ON
The shadow mask can be display.
It is necessary to set “ON” at GRAPHICS to display the line makers.
b) OFF
The shadow mask does not display..
3) Shadow mask settings
a) GRADE
Sets the grade of the shadow mask.
No grade when setting “0” and 100% Black masking when setting “255”.
b) SHADOW H T
Sets the horizontal position for the top area of the shadow mask.
c) SHADOW H B
Sets the horizontal position for the bottom area of the shadow mask.
d) SHADOW V L
Sets the vertical position for the left area of the shadow mask.
e) SHADOW V R
Sets the vertical position for the right area of the shadow mask.

4) CIRCLE
Selects enable or disable for the circle maker display (Default: ON)
a) ON
The circle mask can be display.
It is necessary to set “ON” at GRAPHICS to display the line makers.
b) OFF
The circle maker does not display.
5) Circle maker settings
Sets the radius, the size (thickness), the center position and the color for the circle maker.
a) RADIUS
Sets the radius for the circle.
The circle is the filled circle when setting “000”.
b) SIZE
Sets the size (thickness) for the circle.
The circle maker does not display when the size is “0”.
c) H POS
Sets the horizontal center position for the circle.
d) V POS
Sets the vertical center position for the circle.
e) COLOR
Sets the color for the circle.
The color is selectable from Black, White, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, USER0, USER1,
USER2, USER3, USER4, USER5, USER6 and USER7.
USER0 to USER7 are necessary to select wit the communication software.

2) OSD SIZE
Sets the character size for OSD. (Default: LARGE)

4) PATTERNS
Selects the output signal from below four output signals. (Default: OFF (Image out))
a) OFF
The video is output from the camera.
b) GRAY
The gray scale test pattern is output from the camera.
c) COLOR
The color test pattern is output from the camera.
d) GRAY+COLOR
The color pattern (Top) + the gray scale test pattern (Bottom) is output from the camera.

1) EEPROM
The camera settings in the page1 to page5 can be saved into the camera as the camera default settings.
a) SAVE
When executing the “SAVE”, the confirmation message “ARE YOU OK?” is displayed.
When executing again, the settings save into the camera.
The message “COMPLETE” is displayed after the settings are saved.

3.3. The control software users guide
3.3.1. The basic operation for HD133Ctrl software
A. Menu function
a. File
1) Save As [DSP’s EEPROM]
The EEPROM data for the current DSP preset saves to the file in the PC.
The settings in “DSP:” started windows are saved to the file.
The current DSP preset can check at “uCOM:Other” window.
It is necessary to change the DSP preset at “uCOM:Other” window and save to the file if All DSP
settings save to the file.
The camera has 28 of the DSP presets.
2) Save As [uCOM’s EEPROM]
The EEPROM data for the uCOM saves to the file in the PC.
The settings in “uCOM:” started windows are saved to the file.
3) Open [DSP’s EEPROM]
The DSP Preset EEPROM data saves to the EEPROM on the camera from the file in the PC.
The EEPROM data saves to the current DSP preset. Please check the current DSP preset at
“uCOM:Other” window before select this menu function.
4) Open [uCOM’s EEPROM]
The uCOM EEPROM data saves to the EEPROM on the camera from the file in the PC.
5) Exit
Close HD133Ctrl software.
