SLIDE ROD TENSIONING
• Follow the directions below to tension the slide rod bushing if it becomes too
difficult to pull out or slides out too easily.

When ordering replacement parts
* = USE PAINT CODE:
• TK = BLACK
• TC = RED
• SB = BLUE
• Y = YELLOW
1. Unscrew cap (6) from end the Hammer handle.
2. Pull the rod (8) completely out of the handle.
3. Locate the nut (3) on the bottom of the slide rod (8). Using a 1/2” wrench turn this locking nut (3).
4. If the slide rod is too difficult to pull from the handle, loosen the nut by slightly turning counter-clockwise.
5. If the slide rod is too loose inside the Hammer handle, tighten this nut by slightly turning clockwise.
6. Only make small adjustments at a time. Re-insert the rod into the tube after each adjustment until the
desired resistance is achieved. Apply additional Lithium grease inside the tube if needed.
7. After the rod is re-inserted, replace the cap (6) on the end of the handle and tighten hand tight.
