Hardware Installation
Connect HDMI Display and Power Supply
Find an appropriate place to affix the light-weight NovoDS
device to the back of a display, then connect the HDMI
display and power supply.
Setup WiFi Connect to a Wired Network
Select the WiFi button to
configure this setting.
WiFi Mode connects the NovoDS
to an existing wireless network.
Select Configure to set up the
wireless connection.
NOTE: NovoDS’s default setting is Hotspot
Mode where a wireless hotspot
is created for connection. It is
convenient and useful for product
evaluation and content preparation.

Install NovoDS Software

On the computer that will control
the NovoDS, go to the Vivitek
website (www.vivitekcorp.com) to
download the NovoDS software.

Launch the NovoDS software.
CONTENT PREPARATION
CONTENT PLAYBACK — Network Mode
Create a Playlist
Create a playlist using NovoDS
software.

Select + Playlist.

Choose a layout and select Create.

Add media to the layout and select
Save.

Name your playlist and select Save.
Add a NovoDS
Add one or more NovoDS devices to the installed NovoDS software.

On the DS Devices tab select +Device.

Input the IP address shown on the display ( for
Wireless mode, for Ethernet mode).

Name your device and select OK.
NOTE: Make sure the computer is operating the NovoDS software as
well as the NovoDS devices

Export a Playlist
Export the playlist to a microSD card.

Move the cursor over the playlist and select the Export
Playlist button .

Save the exported playlist to a microSD card.
Play from a microSD Card

Insert the microSD card into the NovoDS and the playlist will
automatically load onto the display.

Syncing a Playlist
Sync the playlist to the NovoDS device(s) that will play it.

On the DS Devices tab select the device(s) to be used.

Select the playlist to be played from the drop-down list.

Select the Connect button and then select Play to play the playlist.
