AUTOMATIC WASHER WARRANTY
FULL ONE YEAR WARRANTY
THE MANUFACTURER warrants this automaticwasher, to consumer* only, against defects in materialor
workmanshipfor a periodof one year from thedate of itsoriginalpurchasebya consumerfor home use,
THE MANUFACTURER, willrepairor replace,at itsoption,any automaticwasherwhichevidences,withinthe
warrantyperiod,a defectinmaterialorworkmanship.
LIMITED WARRANTY Second Through Tenth Years
During the periodbeginningwiththe expirationof the fullone year warranty and continuingthroughthe tenth
yearafter date of originalpurchaseby a consumer,THEMANUFACTURER, will:
1. Replace or repair any transmissionthat has failed as a result of defective material or
workmanship. See reverse side of this certificate for illustrationof parts covered by this
limitedwarranty.
2. Repairorreplaceanytub thathasfailed as a resultof defectivematerialorworkmanship.
Ownerwill payfor mileage,and/ ortransportation,if requiredfor service,and alllabor costs.
LIMITED WARRANTY Second Through Twenty-Second Years
During the period beginningwith the expirationof the full one year warranty and continuingthrough the
twenty-secondyearafter date of originalpurchasebya consumer,THE MANUFACTURER, will:

Ownerwillpayfor mileage,and / ortransportation,ifrequiredforservice, and alllaborcosts.
TERMS APPLICABLE TO ALL WARRANTIES
EXCLUSIONS
THE MANUFACTURER'S OBLIGATIONS UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXTEND TO ANY
MALFUNCTIONOR OTHER PROBLEM CAUSED BY:
1. Unreasonableuse,such as butnotlimitedto:
(a) Impropersettingof controls(see owner'sguide).
(b) Improperinstallationincludingfailuretoconformtolocalelectricalcodes.
(c) Impropervoltagesupply,looseelectricalconnectionsor blown housefuses.
2. Circumstancesnotattributabletoa defect in materialorworkmanship.
3. Partsnotcoveredbythe limitedwarranty,duringthe limitedwarranty period.
4. Unauthorizedrepair,alteration,modificationor adjustment.

Contactyour localdealer for referralto an authorized warranty servicer, or contact MAYTAG CUSTOMER
SERVICE, P.O. Box 2370, Cleveland, TN 37230-2370. To save time, your letter should include the
completemodel and serial number of the warranted appliance, the name and address of the dealer from
whomyou purchasedthe appliance,the date ofpurchaseand detailsconcerningyourproblem.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE MANUFACTURER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES SUSTAINED BY ANY PERSON AS A RESULT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY UNLESS HEREIN OTHERWISE PROVIDED. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW
THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATIONS OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE
LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
ADDITIONAL RIGHTS
ThisWarrantygivesyouspecificlegalrights,and you may also have otherrightswhichmayvary from stateto
state. No one is authorized to increase, alter, or enlarge THE MANUFACTURER'S responsibilitiesor
obligationsunderthese warranties.
