Each shade motor that was discovered must be configured following the steps outlined below:
Defining Motor Properties
1. Select one of the shade motors.
2. Enter a Name to identify the motor. The name is
automatically added to the Label field in the Shade Data
Table. This label will be used to identify the individual
shade motor within the Savant Pro App interface once
the completed configuration has been uploaded to the
Host.
3. Verify the Node ID labeled on the side of the shade
motor is displayed in the NodeID field. This value is
automatically populated.
HELPFUL! The Address (1) field in the Shade Data Table is
also automatically populated with the Node ID.
4. From the Savant Zone field, select the zone where the
shade is installed. If the motor was configured to a
specific User zone, only that zone is available. For all
zones to be available in the drop-down menu, the shade
motor should be in a Shared Equipment zone.
HELPFUL! Each time changes are made to either the
Name or Savant Zone fields, the updated data must
be synced to the data table. See section 9.4 below
for further details.
5. Select the Upper Limit disclosure triangle to expand this
field.
6. Select the Up
or Down button and verify the
shade moves in the correct direction.
Nudges the shade up or down approxi-
mately 1/16 inch.
Moves the shade up or down approxi-
mately 4 ½ inches.

Set Shade Upper and Lower Limit
7. Using the Up buttons, set the upper limit of
shade travel.
IMPORTANT! Do not press these buttons in rapid
succession. Wait for the motor to stop before
pressing the buttons again.
8. Select Save Upper Limit button once the upper limit is
found.
9. Using the Down
buttons, set the lower limit of
shade travel.
10. Select Save Lower Limit button once the lower limit is
found. At this point the yellow circle beside the Upper/
Lower Limit field will change to a green circle with a
check. This indicates the upper and lower limits are
programmed into the shade motor.
11. Test the shade travel by selecting the Test Upper and Test
Lower Limit buttons.
Additional Motor Properties Information
Once the shade motor is working correctly, set any additional properties as required. Refer to the information below when configuring.
SSC-W485 and SSC-0022485 Controllers
Motor Direction
For SSC-002485 and SSC-W485 controllers,
modify the Motor Direction field from
Standard to Reverse if shade is traveling in
the wrong direction.
Up/Down Speed Controls the speed of the shade motor.
Slow Speed Controls how fast the shade motor slows
down.
App Software Info Lists the version of firmware installed in the shade motor. The Savant Support Team may require this information when
troubleshooting a problem. The last six characters identify the version of firmware.
Using the App Software Info number from image above (91424D450009):
The 45 is treated as a hex value so first convert the hex value 0x45 into ASCII = E.
Last four digits are treated as decimal so 00 09 is treated as 09.
Therefore, the firmware version is E09 for this example.
