SPECIFICATIONS ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

If the external exible cable or cord of this fan is damaged, it should be exclusively replaced by the
manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.To ensure
that you get maximum longevity and maximum use out of your fan, please observe the following
safety instructions.
• Ensure all items / components, threads and screws are tightly secured.
SANS 10142 safeguard.
IMPORTANT:
• Tampering with this fan, i.e. using silicon sealers or incorrect cabling, will invalidate your warranty.
• Each blade set supplied is weighted and a complete set.
• Please check whether the connection of the power cord is safe and reliable before installation.
• Always ensure that the mains supply voltage is correct.
• Do not use the fan outdoors, in wet conditions or areas of high humidity.
• Do not insert objects or ngers through the bars of the grill.
• This appliance is not intended for use by young children or inrm persons unless they have been
adequately supervised by a responsible person.
• Always unplug the fan when cleaning or moving from one location to another.
• Always ensure that the fan is on an even, stable surface.
• To disconnect the appliance, unplug by rst turning off the mains power then unplugging the fan.

Oscillation Control
1. Push the oscillation knob to oscillate.
2. Pull the oscillation knob to stop.
Operating instructions
1. Plug the power cord into a suitable socket.
2. Tilt the head up or down to the required position by using a locking mechanism that will hold
the head in the desired position.
3. The fan is switched on using the push buttons on the base, i.e.
0 = Off, 1 = Low Speed, 2 = Medium Speed, 3 = High speed
Special Attention:
1. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
3. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Assembly of Base
1. This fan is supplied with a moulded surround which must be tted to the base of the fan
before the fan is used.
2. The moulded base surround is supplied with 3 off retaining screws
(in a small poly bag taped to the inside of the surround).
3. Remove the bag containing the screws and position the surround on the moulded retaining clips
on the base and snap into place. Ensure that the surround has clipped rmly into position onto
the fan base and screw the 3 retaining screws into the holes across the middle of the base. Do
not over-tighten these screws.
Assembly of Blade and Guard
1. Unscrew to remove the blade spinner from the motor shaft.
2. Unscrew the guard mounting nut from the front of the motor housing.
3. Position the rear guard against the front of the motor housing with the handle uppermost, ensuring
that the locating pegs on the motor housing are engaged correctly in the holes in the guard.
4. Screw the guard mounting nut rmly onto the projecting thread on the motor housing,
make sure you tighten it rmly.
5. Remove and discard the PVC sleeve on the motor shaft.
6. Place the fan blade onto the motor shaft, locating the slot at the back of the blade on the
drive pin that passes through the motor shaft.
7. Screw the spinner onto the motor shaft, and tighten it rmly against the front of the blade.
8. Position the front guard against the rear guard so that the holes in the rims that accept the
small nut and bolt are in line. Insert the bolt through the holes and screw on the nut.
Do not fully tighten at this stage.
9. Move the guard retaining clips into position ensuring that they engage correctly on the rim of
the guard.
10. Fully tighten the small nut and bolt that passes through the rim of the guard.
CLEANING
• Before cleaning always ensure the power supply is turned off and that the fan has
been unplugged.
• Do not immerse the fan in water.
• No abrasive products, solvents, detergent may be used to clean this fan.
• Ensure that the fan does not come in contact with corrosive chemicals, etc.
• Remove the front grill guard, blade and rear grill guard and wipe down parts with a damp cloth
to remove any dust.
• Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling your fan.
• The motor bearings are permanently sealed and do not require additional lubrication
