Chapter 2 Installation
1.Hard disk installation
Because there is no built-in hard disc in the machine, check the hard disc equipment for the first installation. Max extension of
eight 10G-infinite capacity hard discs inside the machine. User can decide the number of hard disks according to required image
quality, recording time and HD capacity.
Note: when CD-RW or removable HDD is installed inside the case, there are 5 pieces of large capacity HDDs able to be installed
inside.

4.2 25 Pin Alarm Transfer Box
Connect 25 pins of the transfer box directly with the 25 pins alarm input output connection of the DVR
Fasten the transfer box on the back panel of DVR with two screws
Pull out 6 connection terminals of the transfer box, corresponding connection marks can be clearly noticed.
Connect function line according to connection marks
Loosen the screws on the connection terminal;connection diagram①)

4.3RS485 port connection
If you want to control pan-tilt, lens and process the relay of the alarming signals by the DVR, the 25-pin RS485 connection can
realize. RS485 connection can control various pan-tilt decoders, and the specific type of the decoder can be selected from the
Control of the System setting in the menu. On DB25 plug the foot s serial number is marked. The definition of the foot is as
followingThe broken line in the graph means being connected inside.
a) 114215316417 connects to alarm input: ALARM1~ALARM8
b) 518-OUT1619-OUT2 two linked normally open output:
c) 720-OUT3 are two attached inner lineseither foot is controllable +12V output

Connection of the alarm input:
Instruction of the alarm input end:
8 channel alarm inputs and no limit on the input type(normally open or normally close type). The power of the alarm sensor can
be provided by the DVR(If the DVR provide power to too many alarm sensors, it may affect the normal working of the DVR.). If
you need to restore the touched-off alarm remotely, you have to supply the controllable 12 V power of the DVR to the alarm sensor,
such as the smoke sensor.
Instruction of the alarm output end:
2 channel alarm outputsnormally open touch. In order to avoid the overwork of the DVR, please refer to the related parameter
of the relay, and see the attached form for the related relays parameter.

Chapter 3 System operation
1. Start/close the recorder
1.1 Start the recorder
Plug in the power line; switch on the power button at the back of the recorder; power indicator light on; DVR starting; default
nine windows for the video output; enter the menu mode automatically; If the starting time is within the timing recording time, the
system will start the timing recording function automatically. Channel indicator light on, system work in a normal manner.
Note: if the system stops at the starting image of HDD detection, the HDD may not be installed right and please check the
HDD connection.
1.2 Enter the setting menu
Before you enter the menu, you must input the password. There are two levels of passworduser password and advanced
password
User password 666666
If input user password, you have to input again at the next login; you are also not allowed to enter system setting and
admin setting.
Advanced password 888888
Note: For the consideration of security, please change the setting in admin setting refer to Chapter 4——Menu operation.
1.3 Close the recorder *Please plug off 220VAC power during HDD installation*
Press the POWER key on the front panel for 4 seconds to stop the current work. Then switch off the power button at the
backside to turn off the power.
1.4 Power off recovery
When the power is cut off in the state of normal/timing/alarm recording, the recorder will preserve the current state and recover
the last state at the next restart. The state indicator light is the same as it was before the power off.

2. Recording operation
The default recording mode after the starting of DVR is 24 continuous recording. User can choose the suitable recording mode
due to the necessity. Instructions for the different recording modes as following:
a) Schedule recording
Enter the menu, and set the timing period for the recording. See details at Menu>System setting>Schedule
b) Hand recording
Press Record button on the remote controller or Record on the front panel
Check the status of each channel in the recording menu; Shadowed channel is the recording channel.
To the channel necessary to be recorded, please press the related number key to shadow it. Then press Enter to begin the
recording.
Press again the related number key to stop the recording of this channel
Press Cancel or ESC to return
c) Alarm recording
Connect the alarm input according to the device connection and the instructions

d) Motion detection recording
Record the channel only in need of motion detection. First confirm whether this channel is at timing recording; if it is, please
close timing recording.

3.Alarm connection operation
Connect the alarm input according to the device connection and the instructions

4.Pan-tilt control operation
Confirm the right connection of pan-tilt and decoder and set the decoder address right
Confirm the right connection of decoders AB line and DVRs 25-pin ports A B line

Shift the monitor image to the single window monitor of the channel in need of pan-tilt control
Continuously press Assistant on the remote controller or Fn1 on the front panel to shift the items on the screen
Use direction key to move and control the selections on the screen
5.Network connection operation
Confirm the correct network connection between DVR and computer
Set the IP address, subnet mask and gateway of the computer and DVR separatelyIf there is no router among the network
please set the IP address, if there is routers in the network, please set the related gateway and subnet mask
Use ping ***.***.***.***IP address of DVRto check the link of the network, replied TTL value less than 64 is normal
Open IE browser and input the IP address of the DVR you want to log in
