· The original sales receipt that includes the date purchased;
· The product and manual in the original package;
· A statement of the problem.
What must you do to keep the warranty
in effect?
· Retain the original receipt;
· Follow all product instructions;
· Do not repair or modify the product.
How does state law relate to this warranty?
Any State Laws that contradict or modify the warranty
listed here to the consumer’s benefit will be followed.
· Damage not accounted for by normal wear and tear or
following the safety and maintenance instructions provided
in the user manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
· Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile
parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);
· Improper use or transport;
· Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
· Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water, etc.).
· Tampering with the product (such as removing cover,
unscrewing screws etc.)
What is the period of coverage and warranty
resolution?
The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase. At
our discretion, product will either be refunded or replaced.
What will we not do?
We will not:
· Start a new warranty period upon product exchange;
· We will not repair product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of the
product properly when it has reached the end of its useful
life, do not throw in the garbage. Information on collection
sites and their opening hours is available from your local
authority.
Environmental damage due to incorrect battery
disposal!
Never throw batteries in the garbage. They may contain
toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste
ordinances and regulations. The chemical symbols for
heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mer-
cury, Pb = lead.
Warranty
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
· Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
Unscrew the coarseness knob 9 and shake the prod-
uct to remove the stuck pieces, then
tighten the coarse-
ness knob
9
again.
Cleaning and maintenance
Never use liquids or detergents, as these
will damage the product.
Only clean the outside of the product using a soft, dry
cloth.
Never lubricate the product.
Disposal
Dispose of the packaging through your local
recycling facilities and in compliance with all
federal, state and local regulations.
Contact your local waste management authority for more
details on how to dispose of your used product.
Using the product (Fig. A+C)
Remove the base cover 6 from the bottom of the
container 5 before using it.
Hold the button 2 to activate the product. The LED
light 8 at the bottom of the product will also light up.
Note: Only use the product with the container 5 filled
and do not operate the product more than 1 minute at
a time to prevent it from overheating. After using prod-
uct for one minute, let it cool down for at least 3 minutes
before turning it on again.
Adjusting the coarseness (Fig. D)
For a finer grind, turn the coarseness knob 9 clockwise.
For a coarser grind, turn the coarseness knob 9
counter-clockwise.
Note: Choose a coarser setting if the motor 4 stops
turning when using a very fine setting. If the product
still does not work, the motor 4 may be stuck.
Use
Inserting batteries / filling the

Note: The product is intended for peppercorn or coarse salt.
Proceed as follows:
1. Firmly hold the container 5 and turn the top 1
counter-clockwise until the arrow on the top 1 lines
up with the symbol on the container 5.
2. Now pull the top 1 off the container 5.
3. Remove the container cover 7 from the container 5.
4. Fill the container 5 with peppercorn or coarse salt. For
best results, fill the container 5 to the maximum mark.

6. Insert 6 new AAA 1.5 V batteries.
Note: Ensure correct polarity. This is shown in the
battery compartment 3.
7. Reattach the top part 1 to the base with container 5.
8. Firmly hold the container 5 and turn the top 1 clock-
wise until the arrow on the top 1 lines up with the
symbol on the container 5.
If necessary, clean the
contacts on the batteries and the
product before inserting the batteries.
Remove drained batteries
from the product immediately. There
is an increased risk of leakage! Risk
of product damage!
Do not throw batteries
in the garbage!
Every consumer is
obligated by law to properly dispose
of batteries!
SAVE THESE
INSTRUCTIONS.
Failure to follow the above
instructions may cause the batteries
to
discharge beyond their
end voltage.
This poses a risk of leakage. If the
batteries have leaked inside your
product, remove them immediately to
prevent product damage!
Remove the batteries
from the product if it will not be used
for an extended period.
Please note the polarity
when inserting batteries! Risk of prod-
uct damage! The correct polarity is
shown inside the battery compart-
ment 3!
