Vegimat Professional - a perfect allrounder
With your new Vegimat Professional you got an extremely versatile kitchen
appliance for vegetarian food and drinks, made with highest precision.
You create delicious, homemade Soy milk with soybeans and water.
This can also very well be processed into tofu. You also have a special
program for dry soybeans - ideal if you have ever forgotten to soak.
The special program for rice milk makes different drink-variations with
rice cereal, oats, spelled, lupine, wheat, cook, etc..
Try the nutritious, homemade oatmeal, also known as Porridge. Or
Congee, the rice porridge known in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine).
With two different soups programs you produce healthy soups, vege-
table broths or fruit compote on the press of a button.
With water and almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts or other nuts you can
prepare nutritious nut drinks.
With the Juice program you make fruit juices, raw food drinks,
smoothies and other drinks.
The Vegimat Professional is manufactured in an elegant design, mostly made
of stainless steel. Floor heating is integrated in the double-wall kettle.
With a twist lock the pot is sealed airtight during the preparation. Escaping
steam is discharged upwards through a special valve.
The Vegimat Professional does the cleaning at your ngertips. You can
choose between two different cleaning programs.
Several security systems like the overow and overheat protection and the
closed system ensure that this equipment is safe to use for you.
We wish you much joy with your new professional maker for
vegan and vegetarian meals and drinks!

is inaccessible to children.
Keep children away from the
packaging. There could be dan-
ger of suffocation!
Risk due to moisture in connection with
electricity
The top part of the appliance
and the stainless steel pot must
not be submerged underwater or
held completely under running
water.
Do not allow any water
into motor part and the
electronics.
For the correct and safe cleaning
read the notes on page 23.
Do not operate the appliance
with wet hands.
Risk of overheating
Fire hazard due to overheating of the
unit!
Allow the Vegimat to cool down
after each use.
6
IMPORTANT: Only ll in so much
water that the level is between
the two marks inside the pot.
Too little amount of water in the
unit can overheat or burn your
ingredients at the bottom of the
pot. Too much water and the
overow sensor stops operation.
To prevent internal heat buildup,
do not cover the unit while ope-
rating.
Risk of exiting water vapor
Danger of scalding by touching ascen-
ding steam!
Keep your face and hands off the
steam valve output. Hot steam
exits during the operation.
Risk from hot parts of the appliance
Risk of burns from touching hot parts!
After operation, do not touch the inside
of the stainless steel pot. The oor
heating makes the jug very hot inside
and it cools slowly.
Risk due to defective or improper parts
Electric shock through the use of a de-
vice with defective or unsuitable parts!
Risk of scalding from escaping hot wa-
ter from a broken water tank!
Do not take the device into ope-
ration, when jug, top control unit
or power cable show visible da-
mage.
Use the top part of appliance
only with the designated jug.
Never manipulate the contact
protection, which allows a func-
tion only with safely closed top.
Take basically no modications
to the product.
Setting up and connection conditions
Fire hazard by overloading the power
supply!
Connect the unit only to a pro-
perly installed socket with pro-
tective contacts on whose mains
voltage corresponds to the spe-
cications of the device.
Do not use an extension cord or
multiple socket.
7
Fire hazard due to overheating if the
appliance turns on unattended!
Do not start the unit with a
switch or a separate remote con-
trol system.
Fire and electric shock from damaged
power cord!
Keep the appliance and power
cord away from heat sources
such as stoves or open gas a-
me. You can melt it. Keep the
power cord away from sharp ed-
ges. The power cord must not be
bent or squashed.
Danger of burns / scalds from hot li-
quids when the unit falls over!
Place the Vegimat on an acces-
sible, stable, at, dry and suf-
ciently large surface area, so it
can not slip or tip over. Do not
place it directly on the edge of
the work surface.
The power cord must not hang
from the table edge. The device
could be torn down.
Do not move the device during
operation and do not pull the
cord.
Do nut use the device in moving
vehicles or boats, as it could tip
over.
Escaping steam can damage wallpaper,
wall cabinets, recessed lamps etc. in
the vicinity of the device!
Do not operate the device under
or next to furniture or walls.
Turn away the steam valve of
furniture and walls. The device
should have around 20 cm of free
space.
Conditions for safe operation
Do not operate the appliance
unattended.
Always unplug the power cord
from the wall outlet...
...if water is owing out,
...if a fault occurs,
...if you stop using the device,
...before cleaning the unit,
...during a thunderstorm.
Always pull the mains plug (plug in the
wall socket), and not the AC power
cord (plug at the unit).
8
Device check
Check your Vegimat regularly for
damage:
Do you see cracks or other da-
mage at the plastic parts or
power cord breaks?
Are the two steam valves moun-
ted free of obstructions and
stable?
Is the shaft with attached knives
mounted stable?
Check the tightness of the pot.
Is there any water or moisture
leaving?
Check the contacts of the power
connector. These must be
smooth and without discolorati-
on.
Do not take the device into operation if
any of the parts described have visible
damage.
Never try to open or repair by yourself.
Any repairs to the device are to be ful-
lled by POWER-SOJA Service Center.
Please note: By doing improper repairs
you lose warranty and there could be
danger for your health.
Do not take the device into ope-
ration, when jug, top control unit
or power cable have visible da-
mage.
The integrated LEDs on the front
panel have an extremely long life.
They cannot be replaced.
9
Safety measurements
The unit is equipped with safety mea-
surements that prevent basic operating
errors.
Overow protection
When properly lled with the correct
amount of water and ingredients an
overow during cooking cycles is very
unlikely. However, should it happen
then an impending overow via a sen-
sor is detected and heating is stopped
immediately.
Closed system
The power does not turn on when the
top has been screwed into the original
Vegimat-pot.
The contacts in the handle of the jug
and the handle of the upper part close
the circuit in the device.
In this way, operation outside of the
protective beverage container is pre-
vented effectively.
Thermal protection and internal device
fuse
After the normal execution of a pro-
gram, a temperature of about 60°C is
not exceeded at the electronic compo-
nents after the device shell was lifted
out of the hot liquid.
The resulting hot steam is being
discharged through the inner steam
valve via a stainless steel steam pipe
upwards and exits through the outer
steam valve. In this way, the heat in
the interior of the electronics is regula-
ted.
If the current exceeds the allowable
value, the internal device fuse res and
the power turns off permanently. In
this case, please contact our service
center.

Operation
The Vegimat Professional features the
following basic functions:
Water heating
The water (including contents) is hea-
ted by the heating element. The hea-
ting duration and the targeted tempe-
rature is determined by the automatic
program.
Content grinding
The solid contents are cut by the speci-
ally shaped blades. Duration and fre-
quency of meal-cycles is also deter-
mined by the automatic program.
The basis for all programs is always
1.3 - 1.5 liters of cold water.
Never pour hot or warm water,
since the programs are optimized
for cold water!
Automatic programs
There are 9 different programs to
produce vegetarian/vegan food and
drinks. These control the heating and
grinding cycles in an optimized se-
quence and duration, according to the
ingredients.
Additionally, you can run automatic
cleaning with the two functions
Cleaning COLD / HOT.
The desired program is selected
by repeatedly pressing the func-
tion key MENU: Program is high-
lighted
Press the key START and it
starts the program.
The unit makes an acoustic sig-
nal at the end of program.
Tips and instructions for safe use
Always pull the power plug after
the end of the program (beep) or
a premature end.
Do not rotate the device from
the pot during operation. Other-
wise, the program is immediately
interrupted.
If you do not use the Vegimat at
the moment, place the device in
one of the two pots to protect
the knives.
Always pour out remaining liquid
to prevent the formation of
germs.
12
First steps
Unpacking
DANGER for children - Danger
to life due choking/swallowing
Remove the protective lm from
the panel.
Keep the packaging away from
children.
Dispose of it immediately.
Before rst use
In order to remove any manufacturing
residues, clean the Vegimat before rst
use:
 Fill the stainless steel pot with
some warm water, a few drops of
dishwashing liquid and clean it
with a soft sponge.
 Make sure that the power
connector in the handle of the
pot and the bottom of the pot
(black) does not make any
contact with water!
 Keep the top part of the Vegimat
with one hand on the handle and
hold the bottom (with the knife)
under running water. Use the
sponge to clean it a bit more
thorough.
 Rinse the inside of the pot and
the bottom of the device part
with the knife under running wa-
ter.
DANGER - risk of death by
electric shock
Never clean with power cable
plugged!
The top of the unit (with control
panel) must not come into
contact with water.
The unit should never be comple-
tely submerged into water.
You may dry any spilled water
immediately so that no liquid can
penetrate into the interior.
WARNING - Risk of re due to
overheating
Never turn on the appliance wit-
hout water lled in the pot.
13
General usage
Preparation
DANGER - Risk of death by
electric shock
Make sure that the power cord is
unplugged before you prepare
the device.
WARNING - Fire and scalding
Do not use less than 1.3 liters
and no more than 1.5 liters in the
pot.
Too little amount of water can burn
your ingredients at the bottom of the
pot. Too much water can cause the
boiling water to spray out.
General preparation procedure
1. Remove the device from the pot
and place it aside or put it into
the supplied plastic jug.
2. Put the ingredients into the
empty stainless-steel jug (see
program instructions page 14-22)
3. Fill cold water into the pot. At
the inside marks you can see the
correct amount. For example,
using 100g soybeans allow ap-
proximately 1.4 liters of water.
Do not use warm or hot water, other-
wise the programs may not work cor-
rectly.
Soak ingredients
Make sure to rst soak some ingre-
dients you prepare for making drinks
with the Vegimat Professional:
Soybeans, mung beans
Lupins
Shelled almonds and other nuts
Other ingredients may also require to
be in a soaked state depending on the
desired avor and consistency, but it is
not mandatory.
1. Put the beans or nuts in a glass
or a bowl with enough water.
2. The soaking duration should be
between 5 and 10 hours, but not
more than 12 hours.
The swollen soybeans then reach 2
times of their dry weight, usually.
If it has been too long in the water,
then you might see foam produced on
the surface of the water.
This indicates that the fermentation
process is underway already and bacte-
ria form carbon dioxide.
14
Program 1: SOYMILK, dry beans
With this program you can produce
fresh, homemade soy milk for drinking
or for further processing to tofu or soy
yogurt.
