12 CLEANING AND CONSERVATION
4 Fit the flexible pipe (19) by inserting one end into the suction nozzle (17), pressing on
it and turning it to the right and left until you hear a click.
5 Before using the vacuum cleaner, prepare the attachments for the surface to be cleaned.
They snap on with a gentle turn. The attachments can be placed directly on the flexible
hose (19) or, for out-of-reach places, the telescopic metallic tube (4) can be used.
The suction brush (21) on these models can be used for all types of floors, carpets, and
rugs. This brush is retractable depending on the surface to be vacuumed. To change the
cleaning position of the brush, press the brush button (22). We recommend cleaning hard
floors, wood and parquet with the fibre brush extended, and cleaning carpets and rugs
with the fibre brush retracted. Before cleaning any surface, we recommend you observe
the cleaning and care instructions issued by the floor manufacturer.
The parquet brush (26) is a special brush with bristles for vacuuming delicate hard
wooden floors, such as parquet and flooring.
Other accessories include the nozzle for upholstered surfaces (24), whose function is
to vacuum the dust from upholstered furniture, as well as mattresses, cushions,
curtains and similar. Furniture brush (25) used for cleaning various pieces of furniture,
edges, computer keyboards. Flat suction nozzle (23) for cleaning cracks, corners and
pleats. These accessories are fitted as per the vacuum brush (21) (see above).
All these accessories can be stored in the accessory holder (3) fitted on the telescopic
metal pipe. Fig. 1
6 The vacuum cleaner can now be plugged in. Take out the cord and press button (11).
7 Regulate the suction power by turning the power selector (13) manually to the desired
power level. Fig. 2.
By using the ECOPTIMA range of power in the daily use you will get enough suction
power with very low energy consumption. If you need more suction power for carpets
or very dirty surfaces, turn the power regulator towards the MAX. position.
8 You can also adapt the suction power mechanically, opening or closing the device on
the grip (1).
9 When finished, switch off with button (11). Unplug it and press button (12) to wind up
the cord. Hold the cord plug in your hand to prevent it from banging against the vacuum
cleaner housing.
10 If you wish, use the handle (10) to carry the vacuum cleaner while using it to get into difficult
places. The wheels and the handle are made of protective rubber to ensure care of your
most delicate furniture. The compact size of the vacuum cleaner means it is easy to use.
11 If you wish to stop vacuuming, you can place the brush conveniently in the horizontal parking
frame (15), avoiding the inconvenience of having to leave the pipes and brush on the floor.
12 To carry and store the vacuum cleaner more easily, we recommend you place it in
vertical position. To do this, fit the accessory holder (3) in the vertical parking support
(20) on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner body.
CLEANING AND CONSERVATION
If you vacuum a large quantity of fine powder, for example: dust from drilling, sand,
plaster or flour, the pores of the bag will get blocked. When this happens, the bag must
be changed since the blocked pores reduce the suction power.
CHANGING THE DUST-BAG (7)
1 When the bag full indicator (14) comes on, the paper bag must be changed. Fig. 3
This indicator (14) may come on because of something stuck in the hose or one of the
accessories. To find out if that is the case, unplug the vacuum cleaner, remove the
hose, and turn the vacuum cleaner on again. Turn it on and if the pilot light (14) does
not come on, remove the object from the flexible pipe or the accessory you are using.
