Introduction
Overview
The LSPM6G4T6P interface card provides four 10/100/1000Base-T
autosensing Ethernet ports and six SFP ports. 10/100/1000Base-T
autosensing Ethernet ports 5T and 6T form a combo interface with SFP
ports 5S and 6S, respectively.

Installing and removing the card
CAUTION:
Before you install or remove the card, wear an ESD wrist strap and
make sure the wrist strap makes good skin contact and is reliably
grounded.
To avoid device damage, do not use excessive force when you
install or remove the card.
The following procedures describe how to install and remove an
LSPM6G4T6P interface card on an S5560-30C-EI switch.
Prepare the following tools before you install or remove the card:
7
Phillips screwdriver.
Flat blade screwdriver.
ESD wrist strap.
The installation tools are not provided with H3C devices. Prepare them
yourself.
Installing the card
1. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw on the filler panel in
the target slot, as shown by callout 1 in Figure 2.
K
eep the removed screw secure for future use.
2. Insert the flat blade screwdriver through the handle on the filler
panel to pull out the filler panel, as shown by callout 2 in Figure 2.
K
eep the removed filler panel secure for future use.
3. Unpack the card.
4. Insert the card slowly into the slot along the guide rails, as shown by
callout 1 in Figure 3.
5. Rotate in
ward the ejector lever as shown by callout 2 in Figure 3
until the
card is in close contact with the switch.
6. Use the Phillips screwdriver to tighten the captive screw on the card,
as shown by callout 3 in Figure 3.

Removing the card
CAUTION:
Before you remove the card, remove the cable from it.
If you are not to install a new card after removing the original one,
install the filler panel in the slot to prevent dust and ensure good
ventilation in the device.
To remove the card:
1. Prepare an anti-static bag.
2. Use the Phillips screwdriver to loosen the captive screw on the card,
as shown by callout 1 in Figure 4,
3. Rotate out
ward the ejector lever as shown by callout 2 in Figure 4.
4. P
ull the card slowly out of the slot as shown by callout 3 in Figure 4.
5. Place
the removed card in the anti-static bag.

cables
For information about installing or removing SFP transceiver modules or
SFP cables, see H3C SFP/SFP+/XFP/SFP28 Transceiver Modules and
Cables Installation Guide at www.h3c.com.hk.
Verifying the installation
After the installation is complete, identify whether the card is operating
correctly according to the status of the port LEDs.
If the card fails to operate correctly, perform the following steps:
1. Reinstall it following the installation procedures described in this
document.
2. If the problem persists, contact H3C Support.
