A wire, ¼ wave (17 cm) length (included) can be used like
simplified antenna. Connect this wire to terminal 15 and leave
the wire inside the plastic box.
This simplified antenna can be located remotely using a
coaxial cable with its braid stripped over the last 17 cm.
This length is that which has to extend outside the housing if
the latter is metallic.
Any 433 MHz antenna can be used instead of simple wire. Use shielded cable type
RG58 for theantenna connection. Shield must be connected to terminal 16.

RadioControl-4 can store up to 80 different keys in the internal memory. Once the
memory is full,LD3 and LD4will blink.
Trying to store a new key when the memory is full, LD3 and LD4 will blink two times
and the operationis aborted.
To remove all the keys previously stored follow this procedure:
Hold the push-buttonP1 stroked for
2 seconds untilred led LD1will blink,
then release P1.
Stroke again P1 until LD3 and LD4
will blink three times to confirm that
the internal memory has been
completely erased.
To remove a single key previously stored follow this procedure:
Hold the push-buttonP1 stroked for
2 seconds untilred led LD1will blink,
then release P1.
Until LD1 is blinking push on the
RadioControl-TX4 the key previously
stored you want to delete from the
memory.
LD3 and LD4 will blink two times to
confirm the operation.

permanently store theassignment into
the RadioControl-4 memory.
Hold the push-button P1 stroked
for 2 seconds until red led LD1 will
blink, then releaseP1.
Until LD1 is blinking push the key on
the RadioControl-TX4 you want to
control output 1. Red led LD1 will turn
off for a while to acknowledge.
Skip this operation if you don’t want to
map a keyto this output.
If you want to store a new key, stroke
the push-button P1, red led LD2 will
blink.
Until LD2 is blinking push the key on
the RadioControl-TX4 you want to
control output 2. Red led LD2 will turn
off for a while to acknowledge.
Skip this operation if you don’t want to
map a keyto this output.
If you want to store a new key, stroke
the push-button P1, red led LD3 will
blink.
Until LD3 is blinking push the key on

blink.
Until LD4 is blinking push the key
on the RadioControl-TX4 you want to
control output 4. Green led LD4 will
turn off for a while toacknowledge.
Skip this operation if you don’t want to
map a keyto this output.
If you want to store a new key, stroke
the push-button P1,all led willturn on.
Until all leds are on push the key on
the RadioControl-TX4 you want to
use to turn al 4 outputs OFF in a
single touch.
All leds turns off to acknowledge.
Repeat the steps above for all the remote controls you may want to map inside this
RadioControl-4.
Operating mode of each relay can be configured by
means of dipswitches .
To operate in TOGGLE mode, set the switch to ON.
To operate in PULSE mode, set the switchto OFF.
Minimum pulse width:200ms.
While in normal operation the status of each output is
reported by ledindicators LD1 toLD4.

ledge.
In this example output 1 is
linked to code1.
If you want to store a new code, stroke
the push-button P1, the red led LD2
will blink.
Until LD2 is blinking, enter
the number to be
assigned to output 2, then
confirm with key #.
Red led LD2 will turn off
for a while, to acknow-

In this example output 3 is
linked to code3.
If you want to store a new code, stroke
the push-button P1, the green led LD4
will blink.
Until LD3 is blinking, enter
the number to be
assigned to output 4, then
confirm with key #.
Red led LD4 will turn off
for a while, to acknow-
ledge.
In this example output 4 is
linked to code4.

A typical applications of multiple RadioControl-4 can be the lighting technique
exhibition rooms that are normally structured in box, as shown in the figure
below. Each box can be equipped with a RadioControl-4 to run lighting fixtures
from a single RadioControl-TX999.
To operate without problems RadioControl-4 must be installed with a minimum
clearance of 1 m from any other radio receiver, including RadioControl-4.
RadioControl-4 can be used to control electrical devices and lights where a
traditional installation by wire is impossible.
EMERGENCY CONTROL
ELECTROMAGNETIC POLLUTION AND SCREENS
National standards and common sense recommend to implement local control by
means of push buttons connected to terminal to operate when the remote
control battery is completely discahrged or the remote control is lost. This local
control will behelpful in emergencysituations.
By the way, it’s suitable to store almost two remote control during the first
installation, one ofwich will beheld in adrawer and usedin emergency.
Following International Standards requirements, the frequency assigned to
remote radio controls is 433,92 MHz. Interference can be introduced by some
wireless devices like:
radio controlled burglaralarms
radio controlled PCmouse and keyboards
radio controlled TV or HiFi systems
radio remote controlsfor gates, shutters,vehicles
WalkieTalkies
Some of these devices are used for short periods an the interference will not lead
to a malfunction. For continuous transmitting units it’s better to choose systems
that operates ata different frequency (868 MHz).
A radio scanner can help in finding radio devices or, more simply, test the
RadioControl-4 in theenvironment before toinstall permanently.
Attenuation of radio signal can be introduced when the RadioControl-4 and remote
control are separatedby materials.
Indicative levels ofattenuation for different materials areshown:
