SafeWaze 019-8031 Owner's manual

  • Hello! I've reviewed the SafeWaze 019-8031 HLL Tension Indicator Instruction Manual. This manual provides details on how to properly install and use the tension indicator for horizontal lifeline systems. It includes information about tension levels based on span length and identifies over-tensioning using a color-coded display. I'm ready to answer any questions you have about the product and its use.
  • What is the purpose of the Tension Activation Window?
Where should the tension indicator be installed?
What does the color red indicate while tensioning the system?

The SafeWaze 019-8031 HLL Tension Indicator is designed for easy installation and use in most
Horizontal Lifeline Systems. Built with a Tension Activation Window to help identify when tension is being
applied to the unit. This Tension Indicator simplifies the setup and tensioning of Horizontal Lifelines by
providing an easy to read, color-coded indicator and chart, which corresponds to different types of HLL
systems in various spans.
It is recommended that during installation, the tension indicator be installed on the same end of the
system as the tensioning device. This allows the installer to easily see when the system is properly
tensioned.
Figure A indicates proper tension for a span up to 60' in length. Figure B indicates proper tension for a
span length greater than 60' in length. Figure C indicates over tensioning of the system. In the event
that red is indicated while tensioning the system, simply reduce the tension until the red line on the
indicator is no longer visible. Figure D illustrates a typical HLL installation including the tension indicator.
