BLOTZ B10-ACC-410, B10_ACC_410 Assembly Instructions

  • Hello! I've reviewed the instructions for the Radar Dish B00-RT-410, and I understand it's a model kit that requires gluing and careful assembly. The instructions outline the process, from preparing the dish supports and the base to final assembly, using tools such as a modelling knife and glue. I am ready to answer your questions about the assembly process or the components involved.
  • What type of glue is needed for assembly?
Can I use sandpaper during assembly?
What tool is used to remove parts from the sprue?
What can be used to hold pieces while the glue dries?
10mm Large Radar Dish
B00-RT-410
Please read these instructions fully before starting construction.
PVA or equivalent glue will be required to stick sections together.
Sand paper can be used to gently clean any joints.
A sharp modelling knife will be required to remove sections from the sprue. Please use knives with due care and remember
to cut away from yourself at all times.
During the construction of this model, you may find it convenient to use pegs / elastic bands to hold pieces in place while
you allow glue to dry.
Note - The dish supports are two different sizes – the
difference being the length on the left beyond the lug.
For each of the smaller dish supports: Using the
pieces shown above (left) glue them together to
form a smooth curve as shown on the right.
Take the back support (as shown).
And glue the four pieces of dish into place.
Repeat the process with the longer dish supports and
also glue them into position. This will leave you wish a
gap in the centre surrounded by a small lip.
Applying gentle pressure with the tip of a finger in the
centre of the dish will help to align the individual parts.
Leave to dry or you risk knocking the dish out of shape.
Take the central octagon and aerial – glue them
together as shown on the right.
Glue this to the centre of the dish as shown.
Take the five pieces of gearbox.
Glue them together as shown above.
Take the base and lower set of gears.
Glue them together as shown along with the gearbox.
Making sure your dish is dry, add the rear piece.
Take the side gears.
And glue them into place.
Add the “A” supports.
Then glue the dish to the base.
The completed radar dish.
