TRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
Tractor
To operate this machine the following tractor requirements
are necessary:
Tractor power: at least 92 KW / 125 HP (5 plough
body)
at most 265 KW / 360 HP (9 plough
body)
Hitching category: Lower link Cat. III
Connections: See table "Necessary hydraulics
and power connections"
Tyres
Wheels
- The air pressure in the rear tyres of the tractor when
ploughing depends on the type, you can take as reference
value 0.8 bar.
- Under heavy working conditions additional wheel weights
can be advantageous.
See the operating instructions of the tractor manufacturer.
Distance between the wheels
The distance between the wheels (A1) should be of 1.2
m - 1.5 m.
A1 = 1.2 ... 1.5 m
A2 = max. 3 m
External dimensions
The external dimensions (A2) of the rear wheels may
not exceed 3 m. When the 3 m are exceeded, the
manoeuvrability is relatively limited.
Ballast weights
Ballast weights
The front of the tractor is to have sufficient ballast to
guarantee braking and steering capabilities.
At least 20% of the tractor’s tare weight
on the front axle!
Lifting gear (three-point linkage)
- The tractor’s lifting unit (three-point linkage) must be
designed for the load that occurs. (See technical data)
- The lifting struts are to be set to the same length with
the corresponding adjustment device.
(See the tractor manufacturer’s operating manual)
- Select the rear position if the lifting rods can be adjusted
in various positions on the lower link. This relieves the
pressure on the tractor’s hydraulic system.
- The limit chains resp.stabilisers of the lower links are to
be set so as no side movement of the hitched devices
be possible. (Safety measure for transportation)
- The upper link is to be removed according to the data
provided by the tractor manufacturer.

Setting furrow width
Plough starting position:
Variant Standard:
Change setting before use
Variant Servo Plus:
The setting can be changed also during operation. (See
Chapter "Servo Plus" for details)
Mode of operation:
The plough working width is determined by the furrow
widths set for the individual bodies.
Variant Standard: 5 defined furrow widths can be set
mechanically.
Variant Servo Plus: The furrow width can be set steplessly
using the hydraulics.
Variant: Standard
Setting the furrow width per body:
- Loosen front hex head bolt (vS).
- Remove rear hex head bolt (hS).
- Swivel the fastening bracket until the required furrow
width is reached and the hex head bolt (hs) fits into one
of the holes (Bo).
- Re-tighten hex head bolts (vS, hS).

Setting the depth
Plough starting position:
The plough must be rotated in working position
Mode of operation:
The working depth is set on the chassis and via the lifting
height of the tractor lower link.
The adjustment of the chassis height is made with the help
of the hydraulic cylinder (Zy).
The setting of the working depth resp. is changed via the
number of the depth stops (AS) swivelled in.
AS
074-09-54
Zy
Design:
- Lift the chassis
- Remove cover of the depth stops (lynch pin) and fold
up
- Swivel the depth stop in or out (less depth stops = more
working depth)
- Fold up and secure the cover of the depth stops
- Lower the chassis (until the cylinder (Zy) lies on the
depth stops.)
- Adjust the lifting height of the tractor lower link to the
required working depth.
One depth stop corresponds to a change
in the working depth of approx. 2 cm
Adjusting the plough tilt
Plough starting position:
Prior to use.
Mode of operation:
The tractor drives in the furrow and is thus at a slope. The
plough should sit as vertical (90°) as possible to the ground
during ploughing. The setting of the tilt is performed via
adjustment screws at the swivel unit.
Design:
- Adjust the tilt per side with the adjustment screws (1).
(Example: If the plough is swivelled to the right, the left
stop can be set)
- Check that the new setting allows the plough bodies
to stand approximately vertical (90°) to the ground per
side.
1
074-09-60
When ploughing on slopes, it is
recommended that the tilt is set somewhat
more than 90°.
When ploughing on hard ground, it is
recommended that the tilt is set somewhat
less than 90°.

the tilt of the individual bodies can be adjusted. The share
tip is adjusted in the range "S" lower or higher by turning
the cam bushing.
Design:
- Loosen bolts and turn cam bushing
- Retighten bolts after adjustment
The following applies to the basic setting:
The gap (A) between plough and share cutting edge must
be the same for all ploughing components.
- Check the gap (B1) at the last plough component
Type W*): B1 = 0 - 5 mm
Type UW, UWS, WSS*): B1 = 10 - 20 mm
- Set the same measurement for gap (B) as for B1.

SERVO NOVA
Fully automatic „Nonstop“ overload safety
The fully automatic overload safety is recommended for
soils which are difficult to plough e.g. soil with stones or
other foreign bodies.
Every ploughing component is hydromechanically
safeguarded against damage on the SERVO-NOVA
plough.
When driving over an obstacle the ploughing body swings
out to either side and then swings automatically back into
the working position. There is no need to stop the tractor.
The plough body swings back into work position
automatically.
Along with the fully automatic „Nonstop“ overload safety,
all component carriers have a shear bolt as additional
protection.
Setting range
The overload safety release force can be adapted to the
various soil types.
