Component Identication
General System Overview
The Blended Ice Machine is a self-contained dispensing
unit that allows the operator to make avor combinations
of blended ice drinks. It contains product avoring in a
reach-in enclosure, a refrigeration system and an ice
shaving machine.
The operator controls and accesses the unit using
a lighted touch screen. Icons on the Drink Selection
screen represent the primary avor combinations for
the blended ice drinks. A second screen provides drink
size options (S, M, L) and ingredient options, such as
“no yogurt.” Menu changes and additions are uploaded
using a USB mass storage device.
On-screen instructions also include operator procedures
for cleaning/sanitizing, checking inventory, replacing
product bags, selecting drink sizes and manually
preparing drinks. Managers and technicians have
access to menu/software updates, diagnostics and
other service screens.

NORMAL OPERATION
After the operator presses one of the avor buttons
on the Drink Selection screen, avor and size options
appear. Subsequent to the operator selecting the avor,
a modier screen appears where the operator can elect
to modify the drink if necessary.
Next the drink preparation sequence commences. Here
the machine checks to make sure a container is in place,
measures the weight of each avoring ingredient, adds
the required shaved ice and blends the drink for the
correct time at the proper blender speed.
After the drink is poured, the operator places the blend
container in the rinse position to initiate an automatic
rinse. The Drink Selection screen re-appears.

Product Inventory Touch Screen
Product inventory tracking estimates the remaining
avoring in each product’s bag in the reach-in
compartment. When the inventory falls below 15%, a
message appears on the Drink Selection screen. At 5%
the display changes to the Product Inventory screen. A
Prime button allows for optional priming of pump and
product dispense tubing. After the operator installs one
or more new avors, the machine returns to normal
operation.
Between drinks, placing a container in the rinse position
activates a spray head in the rinse station of the ice
blended beverage system. The Clean/Sanitize Cycle
mandates that the product pumps, avor product lines
and dispensing nozzles are cleaned and sanitized once
every seven days. Instructions are provided to assist the

Maintenance
Cleaning/Sanitizing
All cleaning must meet your local health department
regulations. Perform Daily and Weekly cleaning
procedures as described on the PM Cards.
An automatic timer in the blended ice machine will call
up a weekly Clean/Sanitize cycle on the touch screen
every seven days. For the next eight hours, the Return
to Drink Selection button will allow the operator to return
to the Drink Selection screen. After that, returning to
normal operation will be disabled until a weekly Clean/
Sanitize cycle is performed.
Preventive Maintenance
Preventive maintenance is a vital part of keeping your
blended ice machine in top condition. Following the
guidelines below will assist you in continued trouble-
free operation of your unit.
Pitcher must be washed, rinsed and sanitized every
4 hours.
Conduct daily cleaning of the machine.
Perform a clean/sanitize cycle every seven days.
Clean the ice bin every seven days.
Do not overll the dispenser bin with ice.
Do not allow the dispenser to sit for prolonged
periods of non use with ice in the bin. Lower ice
storage to meet one day’s needs. Fill only with the
appropriate amount of fresh ice each morning. Do
not ll the dispenser at night just before shut down.
Ice cubes can freeze together if not dispensed.

Shipping, Storage and Relocation
!
Caution
Before shipping, storing, or relocating this unit,
beverage systems must be sanitized. After
sanitizing, all liquids (sanitizing solution and
water) must be purged from the unit. A freezing
environment causes residual sanitizing solution or
water remaining inside the unit to freeze, resulting
in damage to internal components.
