INTRODUCTION
In order to achieve the best performance of your MP4 player please read this instruction manual
carefully before using it.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Keep device away from extreme heat, cold and high humidity places
Do not drop the device.
The order of music files displayed on the Windows Explorer is not the order of actual music
playback.
Battery life-span varies depending on individual usage and care.
Do not take the batteries apart.
Re-charge battery under the following conditions: Low battery indication, display auto-off, turn on
and device auto-off almost instantly, No response when control button is pressed.
Do not charge rechargeable battery longer than specified to prevent danger of fire.
Overcharging & over-discharging rechargeable batteries may shorten their life span.
To prolong the life of a rechargeable battery, completely discharge it before fully charging it again.
Do not immerse into water or get soaked since the battery charging function will be lost.
Do not unplug the USB cable during file downloading, it may cause malfunction to your PC and
player.
When using the device as a USB disk-drive please ensure proper transfer and copying of files to
prevent accidental loss of data
When device connected to a PC via USB port, charging occurs
Do not throw the product into fire to avoid danger of explosion.
The "copying Files" windows appears on your PC please don't Remove USB from computer.
Do not plug in an earphone or audio cable during file downloading.
Downloading can be delayed if there are too many folders or files.

DESCRIPTION
KEYS
POWER ON/POWER OFF SWITCH
Push the Power switch to the ON position to power ON and push power switch to the OFF position to
power OFF.
PLAY/PAUSE KEY
Press to turn ON or long press to turn OFF, short press to play and pause.
MENU KEY
Working mode or menu.
NEXT KEY
To select next music, voice & video, to fast forward.
PREVIOUS KEY
To select previous music, voice & video, to fast reverse.
VOLUME KEY
To enter into the volume control mode.
NOTE
You can use the buttons in tow ways: Short press: You press the key and release it in less than two
seconds. Long press: You press the key and release in more than two seconds.

MUSIC
1. In the main menu press
/ key to select Music.
2. Press|| key to access music mode.
3. In the music mode short press Menu key to access the sub-menu of Music.
MUSIC SUBMENU
REPEAT MODE
In the submenu of the music, press
/ to select Repeat and press || key to confirm. In the repeat
mode, press
/ to select the play mode you want to set, and then press || to confirm.
EQUALIZER MODE
In the submenu of the music, press
/ to select Equalizer and then press || key to confirm. In the
Equalizer mode, press
/ to select the Equalizer mode you wan to set, and then press || to
confirm.
A3D MODE
When set the A3D mode as ON status, it will display the icon
in the playing interface, if it is in the
OFF status, it will display the icon
in the playing interface.
PLAY RATE
You can set the play rate in this mode.

FILE
In this mode, you can browse all the music files, and press || to play the track selected.
CLASSIFIED
Select the file according to the genre, artist, Album &Title.
PLAY LIST
Browse the file according to the list set by the user.
SLIDE SHOW
Show the pictures which are SLS format. And the selections are Off, 1 seconds, 10 seconds,
15seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds. Off means turn off the slide show function.
NOTE
The user need convert the other format to SLS by the special convert tool.
VOLUME CONTROL
In music mode, long press VOL key to enter the volume adjust mode, and the volume icon
will be become pink as showed, and then press
/ to increase & decrease the volume.
FAST FORWARD & FAST BACKWARD
In music play mode, press and hold / to fast forward & fast backward.
LYRICS DISPLAY
If lyric is available, the device will display the lyrics automatically and simultaneously when the song is
played.
A-B REPEAT
In the music play mode, short press VOL key to identify the A point and LCD displays A-, short press the
VOL key again to identify the B point and LCD displays A-B. The Player will now repeat the selected
segment. Short press the VOL key to exit the A-B repeat mode.

VIDEO MODE
1. In the main menu, press / to select VIDEO and then press || key to access.
2. In movie list, press
/ key to select the movie you want to play and then press || key to play.
3. Short press
/ to skip to the next or previous movie.
4. During playing, short press Menu to enter the sub-menu.
VIDEO SUBMENU
REPEAT MODE
In the repeat mode, press
/ to select the play mode you wan to set, and then press || to confirm.
VIDEO OSD COLOR SET
In this mode, you can select different color for the progress bar and the time when playing.
FAST FORWARD / FAST REVERSE
During normal play, press and hold / button to fast forward or reverse
VOLUME CONTROL

will be become pink as showed, and then press
/ to increase & decrease the volume.
NOTE
The player support MTV video format, the other formats such as AVI, WMV, MPEG, should be
converted into MTV by the convert tool included in the CD enclosed. For the detail converting operation,
please read the Video Converter AP User Manual in the video converter folder.

FM RADIO
In main menu select “Radio”, press || key to enter into FM Radio mode.
MANUAL SEARCH
In FM mode, short press || key to convert between Normal and Preset. In the “Normal” model, short
press
/ button to scan up or down the frequency range.
AUTO SEARCH
In the FM mode, Short press Menu button and then press / to select “Auto Scan” and press ||
button to confirm, and it will search the station automatically. Press
/ to stop auto scan, it will stop
and save the channels automatically after scan.
SAVE CHANNELS
In the FM “Normal” mode, Short press Menu button and then press / to select “Save Preset” and
press || button to confirm. Press
/ to select the channel you want to save and press || key to
confirm and then select Yes and then press || key to confirm.
DELETE CHANNELS
In the FM mode, short press || to convert into Preset mode, and then short press Menu key and select
“Delete” to enter the delete mode, and then press
/ to select the channel you want to delete and
press || key to confirm and then select Yes and press || to confirm.
NOTE
In the Preset mode, short press
/ to select the channels scanned and saved.
FM RECORDING
In the FM mode, long press VOL key to enter the FM record mode and begin to record the current FM
program. To pause recording please short press ||. Short press VOL key again to save the current
recording.

PHOTO VIEWER
1. In the main menu select “Photo” and press || key to enter into Photo viewer mode, a sub-menu
showing all your photo files will appear. Select the appropriate file to view.
2. Press
/ key to navigate and select file
3. After selecting the file, press || button to view the picture.
4. In the photo list, short press VOL key to enter the delete mode.
5. Long press Menu button to exit and return to main menu
E-BOOK
1. In the main menu, select “E-BOOK” and then press || button to enter into the E-book mode.
2. Press
/ key to navigate and select file
3. Press || button to open selected file
4. In the E-book list, short press VOL key to enter the delete mode.
5. When reading, short press Menu button to return to text list.
6. Press and hold Menu button to exit and return to main menu

VOICE MODE
In the main menu select Voice and press || button to enter into voice mode.
VOICE RECORD
In the voice pause mode, short press VOL key to enter the voice record mode, and press || key to
pause recording, press || again to continue. Short press VOL key again to save the current recording
file.
PLAY RECORDED VOICE FILE
Press || again to play and press / to skip to the next or previous file.
VOICE SUBMENU
Short press Menu key to enter the submenu of voice menu. For the settings, please refer to the music
mode.

will be become pink as showed, and then press
/ to increase & decrease the volume.

FILE
1. Select “File” and press || button to enter into the mode.
2. In the mode, you can find all the files in the player.
3. Press
/ key to select a folder or a file.
DELETE THE FILE
To delete a file, use / button to navigate and select a folder or a file to delete. If a file is selected,
press || button to enter the delete mode, and then press
/ to select Yes or No. Select Yes and
delete the file by pressing || key. If a folder is selected, press || button to open the folder and then
you can select the file you want to delete in the folder. Long press Menu button to return to the main
menu directly.
GAMES
1. At main menu select “Game”, press || button to enter the game mode.
2. In the game mode, press
/ key to select the game you want to play and press || to confirm.
3. Start: Start playing the game. Introduction: Introduce the game.
OPERATION
Use / button to move toward right or left and Menu key to move UP and VOL key to move down.

SETUP
At main menu select “Setup” press || button to enter into sub-menu. Press / to navigate and select
setting option, press || key to enter into selected setting.
POWER
This function allows user to set a fixed time for the device to automatically power-off. Power-off time set
available: Auto off: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes and Close. Always On:
Yes or NO. Press || key to confirm the selected. Press Menu button to exit.
LANGUAGE
Support Multi-Language.
DISPLAY
You can select 2 different settings: Brightness, Backlight.
BRIGHTNESS
4 different settings: Low, Medium, High and Maximum
BACKLIGHT
4 different settings: 15seconds, 30 seconds, 1 Minute and Close.
RECORD
2 settings available: Quality, Format, VAD and AGC
REC QUALITY
3 selections: Long Time, Normal Quality and High Quality
FORMAT
Set the record format in this mode, 2 selections: ADPCM and WMA
VAD
Record according to the voice, If no voice, it will stop recording automatically. In this setting, you can
turn on VAD function or turn off this function by selecting Yes or NO.

AGC
This function can determine the magnified multiple of the MIC so that can prevent voice distortion
because of too loud voice, it can also prevent the record voice tends low because of low voice. In this
setting, you can turn on AGC function or turn off this function by selecting Yes or NO.

DELETE
Delete the file.
FORMAT
Format the player. 2 selections: Quick and Complete
RESET
Press || to enter, use
/ to select “Yes” or “No”, press || key to confirm selection to reset device to
factory default settings
SYSTEM INFORMATION
Display the system information of the player.
REFRESH
Refresh the player
FILE SORT
Force Sort: Sort the files manually.
Auto Sort: Sort the files automatically.
STORAGE
2 selections: Internal & SD/MMC Card If select Internal, It will play the files in the built-in memory, If
select SD/MMC Card, it will play the files in the TF card.

FIRMWARE UPGRADE
To upgrade the firmware of the player, please run MP3/4 Player Upgrade Tool from Driver CD (for
Windows 98 to Windows XP only), then you can use these functions from which. Before using this
application, please confirm that only one MP3/4 Player is connected PC normally. When the program
runs, Choose (MP2479, 2480 ALI-2.4 Firmware Upgrade) from CD for starting upgrade:
Double click Factory4.exe
Then will show you as below:
When you see the above photo at PC, please do the MP3 connect PC. If you can see they have appear
circle yellow as below picture, the means connected with PC, if not please re-connect again.

Connected please click firmware upgrade for data transfers. When the circle yellow change to green that
you are succeed. Please exit and do not using and deleted other file in firmware upgrade folder.
Firmware upgrade is to improve player’s performance or recover the damaged internal firmware. If it’s in
normal status, it’s suggested that do not upgrade the firmware.
Please make sure the new firmware software you selected must be suitable for the model you are about
to upgrade. Firmware upgrade process CANNOT be reversed.
DO NOT disconnect the player during upgrading or recovering process..

TROUBLESHOOTING
This list helps you to solve simple problems that may occur in the operation of the unit. Please read it
and check these points before asking for technical assistance.
Device does not power on
·Check battery power
·Charge battery and try again
Cannot hear with your earphones
·Check volume
·Check if earphone is connected properly
Control buttons no response
·Check if the device is locked. To unlock, press and hold “Vol”
Noisy interruptions
·Check if earphone is clean, dirty earphones will create noise interruption. Try playing another music file.
·Check if music file is “corrupted”
FM bad reception
·Change earphone line and device position
·Turn off any other electrical device nearby that may caused the reception
·Earphone acts as antenna
Display garbled
·Check language selected
Cannot download files
·Check if device and PC connected properly
·Check if memory is full
·Check if USB cable is faulty
