Putting into operation
LED for CFM
LED for CFS 1
LED for CFS 2
Fig.1
Fig. 2
Column and row LEDs show the
operating mode of the outputs.
Light: heat is “ON” to the room.
No light: heat is “OFF” to the
room
Example: When the LEDs of
the 4th column and the 1st
row are lit, heat is supplied to
output 4 of the CFM.
LED row for outputs
Assigning CFR to output(s)
-Connect the room thermostat (fig. 1) to the CFM, via the black
installation cable. The first vacant output in the registration
field will flash. Other vacant outputs will be lit, while outputs al-
ready registered will not be lit (fig. 2).
-If OK is pressed briefly, the room thermostat will be assigned
to the first available output causing the LED to go off (fig. 2).
If the CFR is to be assigned with more than one output, go to
these outputs by means of the +/- keys and confirm by press-
ing OK briefly.
When the installation cable is removed, the red LED under-
neath the battery cover (fig. 1) will flash for at least 3 minutes
(Thermostat in test mode).
Removal of assigned room thermostat
The CFR and the CFM must not be connected.
-Hold OK for 5 sec, the first LED in the row for assigned CFR(s)
will flash (fig. 2). Other LEDs for assigned CFR(s) will flash.
-Use the +/- keys to go to the CFR to be removed (it will flash).
-Confirm removal by pressing OK for 5 sec.. The LED light will
go off.
Test of CFR
If a defect in a CFR is suspected, the following test may be
carried out:
-Set the thermostat to the highest temperature.
-Move the function switch located on the right side of the
thermostat to a new position.
-If the LED underneath the battery cover (fig. 1) flashes quickly
within the first minute, the CFR is in order.
Transmission interval
A CFR transmits regularly. When a signal is received by the
CFM, two quick flashes are seen. Subsequently, the normal
operating mode will be displayed.
Operation
During normal operation, the status of the CFM outputs are
shown.
If the status of the outputs of the CFS is to be shown, scroll by
means of the +/- keys. After approx. 10 sec. the system reverts
to the output status of the CFM.
Troubleshooting
FCC ID: PGBTYPE-CFR , CAN 3934104209
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and with
RSS-210 of Industry Canada and with RSS-210 of Industry
Canada:
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) This device must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Warning: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly
approved by the party responsible for compliance could void
the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
In the event pump zoning is used a
separate relay box, CPR, is needed
(Part 088HPRLY)
Max. 4 outputs per relay box. If 5-8
outputs are required then two relay
boxes are needed. Wire controller
outputs to relay box according to
typical wiring diagram. Electrical
specifications for zoning circulator
pump: Single phase, 115 V, 60 Hz,
and max. 3 A.

Normal operation during
test of room thermostat
· Reposition thermostat in room
until signal is clear.
· Reposition external antenna,
however if signal is still unclear
move external antenna to the
same floor as thermostat(s)
· Reposition room thermostat and
run test mode
· Mount external antenna if not
already installed.
· Eliminate interfering electronic
equipment
· Replace battery and test
thermostat
· Check heating supply to the
system and the circulator pump
· Check master control, CFM, is
properly wired.
· First check actuators for proper
wiring then replace fuse in
master/slave controller, 1.25A
· Check wire and connection
between master and slave
· Replace zone actuator
· Check heating supply to the
system and the circulator pump
· Replace battery, Lithium AA 3.6V
· Adjust connection in thermostat to
ensure better contact to battery
· Replace room thermostat
Refer to I
NSTRUCTIONS FOR
INSTALLATION
· Check wiring of power to CFM
· Replace master controller
