1. Intended use:
Due to its design, the ARAD2 enclosure is intended for mounting inside RACK 19'' cabinets. This general-purpose
enclosure may serve as an auxiliary element for integrating CCTV, AC, I&HAS, RTV, LAN systems in RACK 19'' cabinets. It
is intended for mounting alarm control panels, AC controllers, power supply units, batteries, etc.
2. Description.
The enclosure is equipped with a mounting plate intended for mounting transformers or power supply units. The
enclosure can accommodate a 7Ah/12V battery and it features tampering protection (against unwanted opening).
There is also a possibility to mount extra tampering protection units (but not more than three PKAZ001CZ). To enable
leading cables into the enclosure, one can buy a cable protection conduit of any length and a cable gland. The conduits
and the cable glands are available at the following codes:
1) ARAP16 – angle cable gland, inside diameter 16 mm – connection between the protection conduit and the
enclosure
2) ARAP21 – angle cable gland, inside diameter 21 mm – connection between the protection conduit and the
enclosure
3) MM019 - cable protection conduit , inside diameter 16 mm
4) MM020 - cable protection conduit, inside diameter 21 mm
The enclosure ARAD2 can be joined with max. 4 ARAP16 or 3 ARAP21 cable glands.
To mount the ARAD2 enclosures inside a RACK cabinet, ARAS rails are needed. Their length depends on the
cabinet’s depth.
Three kinds of RACK rails are produced:
1) ARAS600 – rails for 600mm deep RACK cabinets
2) ARAS800 – rails for 800mm deep RACK cabinets
3) ARAS1000 – rails for 1000mm deep RACK cabinets
Optionally, ARAW45 fans can be mounted. They trigger airflow inside the enclosure after exceeding 45
o
C. One
enclosure can accommodate max. two fan units in the rear part of the enclosure.

3. Assembling instructions:
3.1. Mount the M6 cage nuts to the RACK cabinet, as shown in the picture below. Then, mount the ARAS rails
(accordingly to the cabinet’s depth). Take notice of the correct positioning of the horizontal rails. Adjust their length
between the front and back RACK profiles.
3.2. Place the ARAD enclosure onto the slid-out ARAS rails. Next, bolt it from the inside with 6xM4 bolts
(included). The enclosure is fixed to the front part of the RACK rails with four M6 screws.
