folder.Droponeappiconoveranotheron
aHomescreen,andthetwoiconswillbe

6. Opening and switching
applications
MultitaskingiseasywithAndroidbecause

runningatthesametime.There'sno
needtoquitanapplicationbeforeopening
another.Useandswitchbetweenseveral
openapplications.Androidmanageseach
application,stoppingandstartingthemas
neededtoensurethatidleapplicationsdon't
consumeresourcesunnecessarily.

To stop applications:

If the screen freezes or the phone does
not respond when you try to operate it:
Removethebattery,reinsertit,thenturnthe
phoneon.

PressandholdthePower/Lockkeyfor

Beforeyoucanstartexploringyournew
phone,you’llneedtosetitup.Toinsertthe
SIMcardandbattery:
1 Toremovethebackcover,holdthe
phonefirmlyinyourhand.Withtheother
hand,firmlypressdownthecentreof
thebatterycover,whilepullingthetop
awaywithyourforefinger.Thenliftoffthe
batterycover.
2 SlidetheSIMcardintotheSIMcard
holder.Makesurethegoldcontactarea
onthecardisfacingdownwards.
3 Insertthebatteryintoplacebyaligning
thegoldcontactsonthephoneandthe
battery.
4 Replacethebackcoverofthephone.

1 Turnoffyourphonebeforeinsertingor
removingthememorycard.Removethe
backcover.
2 Insertthememorycardintotheslot.
Makesurethegoldcontactareaisfacing
downwards.

Donotinsertorremovethememory
cardwhenthephoneison.Doingso
maydamagethememorycardaswell
asyourphone,andthedatastoredon
thememorycardmaybecomecorrupt.
