This symbol denotes a possible hazard which could cause injury or
damage to the appliance.
FOR YOUR SAFETY
Please read the following instructions and keep them on
hand for later reference.
1. This appliance can be used by children
8 years and older, as well as by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abili-
ties or with lack of experience and/or knowl-
edge, if they are supervised or if they have
been instructed with regard to safe use of the
appliance and have understood the dangers
that can result from use of the appliance.

Children must not play with the appliance.
3. Children are not allowed to perform clean

ing and user maintenance, unless they are

years of age or older and are supervised.

4. Keep the appliance out of the reach of chil-

batteries contained in the appliance – danger

6. Do not recharge normal batteries.
7. Ensure that the batteries do not heat up or

If the appliance will not be used for a longer
period of time, remove the batteries to avoid
battery leakage. Battery leakage can cause
skin irritation, consequently in this case wear
protective gloves when removing the batter

ies.

The appliance is intended for household
use only; it is not designed for commercial
requirements.
10. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
11. The appliance is only suitable for human
hair. Do not use the appliance on artificial
hair or on animals.
12. Ensure that the appliance does not come
close your eyes.

The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if
repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.
Attention: The shaving head consists of sharp, pointed
parts. To avoid injury, handle them with care!
13. Do not use the appliance if you are suffering
from illness involving the nose or ears.
14. For hygienic reasons, the appliance should
only be used by one person.
15. Do not operate the appliance in the vicinity
of heat sources.
16. Switch off the appliance before you set it
down.
17. After use or prior to cleaning, always switch
off the appliance.
18. To avoid damage, do not use the appliance
with accessories of other manufacturers or
brands.
19. Check the appliance regularly for wear or
damage. If there is damage, please send the
appliance for inspection and/or repair to our
customer service organization. Unauthorised
repairs can result in serious risks to the user
and will void the warranty.

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. First remove all packaging materials and transport
safeguards. Due to danger of suffocation, keep chil-
dren away from the packaging materials.
INSERTING OR EXCHANGING BATTERY
1. Switch off the appliance via the ON/OFF switch.
2. Slide open the battery compartment lid on the bot-
tom of the appliance.
3. If necessary batteries if necessary.
4. Insert two 1.5 V Mignon batteries in battery compart-
ment. Ensure the correct polarity of the battery, oth-
erwise the appliance will not work. Appropriate mark-
ings are on the contacts in the battery compartment.
5. Slide the battery compartment lid back onto the
appliance.
6. Do not dispose of used batteries as household waste.
Dispose of this product via your appliance dealer or
take it to the municipal collection point.
OPERATION
1. Pull the cover off of the appliance.
2. Switch on the appliance via the ON/OFF switch.
3. Carefully and slowly guide the attachment into the
nose or onto the ear.
4. Please note: Guide the appliance a maximum of
5 mm into the nose or into the ear; never any further
to avoid injuries. Do not use force to push the appli-
ance into nose or ear.
5. Slowly rotate the appliance, thus all undesired hair
will be removed.
6. Switch off the appliance via the ON/OFF switch when
you have finished using it. We recommend that you
first move the appliance out of your nose or ear and
then switch it off.

CLEANING AND CARE
Attention: The shaving head consists of sharp, pointed
parts. To avoid injury, handle them with care!
Switch off the appliance via the ON/OFF switch.
1. Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids
in order to clean it. Ensure that water cannot get into
the housing of the appliance.
2. Never clean the appliance and the accessories in the
dishwasher.
3. Do not use sponges that can scratch, scouring agents,
steel wool, metal objects, disinfectants or hot clean-
ing agents, as they can damage the appliance.
4. Wipe off the appliance with a damp cloth.
5. You can take off the shaving head and clean it as
needed. Turn the shaving head counterclockwise and
pull it off of the appliance. Clean the shaving head
with a soft brush and fit the shaving head back onto
the appliance. Ensure that all parts are firmly con-
nected, otherwise the appliance does not function.
6. Close the appliance with the lid when it is not in use.
7. Dispose of the dead batteries in accordance with
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive
2202/96/EC – WEEE. Your local responsible munici-
pal authority will provide a list of appropriate disposal
points.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS
We grant a 24 months guarantee, and in case of commercial use a 12 months guarantee, starting from the date of
purchase for any damage demonstrably due to manufacturing defects and when the appliance has been used according
to its intended use. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or re-
placement, at our option. Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries,
please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our
after sales service, properly packaged, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must
show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. You can print out a return receipt on our website www.unold.
de/ruecksendung. (only for entries from Germany and Austria). The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear,
improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or
modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not
limited by this warranty.
WASTE DISPOSAL / ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Our appliances are produced on a high quality level for a long lifetime. Regular maintenance and
expert repairs by our after-sales service can extend the useful life of the appliance. If an appliance
is defective and repair is not possible we ask you to follow the following instructions for disposal.
Do not dispose this appliance together with your standard household waste. Please bring this
product to an approved collection point for recycling of electric and electronic products. By sepa-
rate collection and disposal of waste products you help to protect natural resources and ensure,
that the product is disposed in an adequate way to protect health and environment. This appliance
contains rechargeable batteries. Consequently do not dispose of the appliance as household waste
at the end of its service life. Contact your responsible disposal company for information regarding
proper disposal of rechargeable batteries or appliances powered by rechargeable batteries. The
appliance includes a rechargeable battery installed in the handle.
Batteries that contain harmful substances are marked as follows: Pb = battery contains lead, Cd
= battery contains Cadmium, Hg = battery contains mercury.
