1.1 PREPARATION ____________________________________________________________
1. Park the mower on a flat and level surface, fully lower
the implements to the ground, engage parking brake,
stop the engine and remove key from ignition switch.
a. Wait for all movement to stop before making any
adjustments or modifications.
b. Take this opportunity to thoroughly inspect the
equipment and perform other maintenance.
Numbers in parentheses ( ) refer to items on the Figures.
For specific identifications, quantity and part number, refer
to the parts list.
Note that there are six distinctly different catcher mounts
(Items 6 through 11).
The catcher mounts are identified by a number stamped
on the mounting tabs, that number corresponds to the last
digit of the part number and is shown in the Figures as [ ].
Before assembling any of the catcher mounts, make sure
that you have identified the right side and left side mounts
for each catcher position.
The “Right” and “Left”, “Front” and “Rear” of the machine
are referenced from the operator’s right and left when
seated in the operator’s seat facing the direction of
forward travel.
1.2 ASSEMBLY, FRONT ________________________________________________________
1. Remove the existing top and curved shields from the
two front mowers only. Retain all hardware and store

outside of the mounting brackets as illustrated.
b. Catcher mount [9] is mounted on the left side
and mount [8] is mounted on the right side of
the left front pivot assembly.
c. Slide the grass catcher (1) onto the catcher
mounts and adjust the mounts so that both
sides of the catcher rest firmly against the lower
portion of the catcher mount (Figure 5)
d. It may become necessary to loosen one side to
readjust the other until both sides are properly
adjusted.
e. When properly adjusted, both sides of the
catcher should rest equally against the mounts
and the catcher handle should be parallel with
the ground.
4. Assemble and adjust catcher mounts [0] and [1] to

the outside of the mounting brackets with the
hardware supplied. Figure 4.
Mount [7] is assembled to the left mounting bracket
and mount [6] is assembled to the right mounting
bracket of the rear pivot assembly.
3. Once again, adjust the mounting brackets as
previously described in steps 3c through 3e for front
catchers.
After the catcher is properly adjusted, reset the
cutting height to its original position.
4. Lower mower lifting height to prevent catcher from
contacting sheet metal shielding.
Disconnect rear lift cable assembly from lift crank and
