FreeReel Quick Start Guide
Congratulations on your
FreeReel purchase! It was
designed to make using your
cords, hoses, and/or ropes easier
and faster.
To get you started using
the FreeReel as quickly as
possible, please follow this guide.

Initial Assembly Unwinding
Using the Blue Handle, tighten
the crank arm and cord guide to
the storage reel. The back of the
crank arm should sit flat on the
main bearing front surface.
The FreeReel comes with
550 paracord rope so that
you can practice how to use
it.
Walk
Away
Tie the free end of the paracord
rope to something that won’t
move. Then grasp the upper
handle with your right hand, put
your right thumb on the thumb
pad, and walk away.

Your FreeReel is warranted to be free
from defects in materials and
workmanship for five years. If you have
any issues or problems, please contact
us.
1. Continuing what you were just
doing while unwinding. Walk
away from where the rope is tied
until almost all of the rope is off
of the storage reel cassette
2. Leave the rope on the reel
3. Move your left hand to the blue
handle
4. Move your right hand to the red
handle (Remember Red=Right)
5. Put the cord guide against your
stomach.
6. The rope should be coming up
from the ground to the cord
guide.
7. Start winding with your right
hand
8. Walk along
the rope or
cord or
hose as
you wind
onto the
storage
cassette
reel
Winding
Practice winding and winding a
couple of times with the paracord
rope. When you feel like you know
how to do it, take the rope off of
the reel and replace it with an
extension cord or air hose.
This should get you started using
the FreeReel. The FreeReel has
been designed and developed to
be the most versatile cord, rope
and air hose management system.
