Electrolux EEK3100 is a 1.5L electric water kettle with a 1850-2200W power consumption. It has an automatic switch-off function, which turns the kettle off when the water has boiled or if the kettle is removed from the base. The kettle also has a boil-dry safety cut-out, which protects the appliance from overheating when started without water or from boiling until it is empty if used with the lid open. Additionally, the kettle has a removable mesh filter, which can be cleaned to prevent limescale build-up.

GENERAL SAFETY

• The appliance may only be connected

to a power supply with the same

voltage as that specified on the rating

plate (K)!

• Never use the flex to pull the plug out

of the socket but pull the actual plug.

• If the mains cord of this appliance is

damaged, it has to be replaced by the

manufacturer or its customer service

or a trained electrician to avoid risks.

• Never use the kettle if it has been

dropped or has evidently been

damaged.

• Repairs to this appliance may only be

carried out by qualified service

engineers. Considerable danger may

result from improper repairs. If repairs

become necessary, please contact the

Electrolux Customer Care Department

or Electrolux authorised dealer.

• Always pull out the plug,

– before cleaning and attending to

the kettle,

– and after each time it is used,

– and for faults during operation.

Using Your Kettle

Before using your new kettle you should

wipe it inside and outside with a damp

cloth due to hygienic reasons.

INITIAL USE

Place the base unit (J) on a firm

surface.

Plug the mains plug into a wall socket.

SAFETY OF CHILDREN

• Only use the water kettle when

supervised.

• Supervise children particularly carefully!

• Packaging material, e.g. plastic bags,

should not be accessible to children.

• Children should be supervised to

ensure that they do not play with the

appliance.

POINTS TO REMEMBER WHEN

OPERATING THE WATER KETTLE

• Before starting the appliance ensure

that the mains cord and plug are dry.

• Never use the kettle with wet hands.

• Never use the appliance outdoors.

• Whilst using the water kettle,

high tempratures are reached which

can cause scalding if the kettle is

not handled carefully. Therefore only

hold the appliance by the handle (F)

provided.

• Do not use the kettle unsupervised.

Do not place or use the kettle on hot

surfaces or near naked flames.

• Attention: If the kettle is overfilled,there

is a risk that the boiling water may

spray out. Therefore never fill the kettle

above the maximum marking.

• Only use your kettle for heating water!

Never put foodstuffs or foodstuff

additives into the kettle. Never heat

milk or stock on the kettle! Do not

place any objects in the kettle!

• Never use the appliance with the lid

(D) open as otherwise the automatic

switch off cannot work .

• Do not move the appliance whilst

it is on.

• Never immerse the appliance in liquid!

• Protect the appliance and cord from

heat and wetness.

• If the appliance is used for any other

purpose or is incorrectly used, the

manufacturer adopts no liability for any

damages which may result.

The heating process is automatically

interrupted. Before using the kettle

again let it cool down for 5-10 minutes.

Cleaning And Care

Always disconnect the kettle from the

mains supply before cleaning.

Never clean the kettle and base unit

under running water or immerse it in

washing-up water.

Occasionally rinse out the kettle with

clean water.

Clean the outside of the appliance only

using a damp cloth. Do not use any

caustic or abrasive cleansing agents.

Hold strainer insert (B) at grip (1) and

lift insert out for cleaning.

The heating base is made of stainless

steel. If, however, spots of rust appear,

these are only deposits adhering to the

surface. They can be removed with a

stainless steel cleaning agent.

Descaling

Lime scale deposits on the bottom of

the kettle result in loss of energy and can

affect the service life of the appliance. The

appliance switches off before boiling

if the layer of scale is too thick. It is then

very difficult to remove. The appliance

should be descaled regularly depending

on the level of the water hardness. Use a

standard descaler following the directions;

preferably choose an environmentally

friendly, descaling agent suitable for

stainless steel according to the instructions

from the manufacturer.

First fill in water, then a standard

descaling preparation which is not

too strong.

Do not boil the solution as it could

foam over.

After descaling, rinse the kettle out

thoroughly with clean water. Never

pour descaling agents into an enamel

sink and do not reuse them.

If the mains cord is longer than

necessary it can be wound up at the

bottom of the base unit (J).

Press button (E) down to open

the lid (D).

Fill with at least sufficient water to make

it visible on the water level indicator

(G), but not higher th an the Max. mark.

Close the lid (D) until it engages.

The automatic switch off can only

function reliably if this is done.

Place the kettle onto the base (J) in

any position you wish.

Press the ON/OFF switch (H) down,

the pilot lights lights up and the kettle

starts to heat up.

The ON/OFF switch (H) only catches

when the kettle is on the base unit (J).

Do not use the water from the first

boiling cycle to prepare food.

The Automatic

Switch Off

The kettle will switch off automatically

and the pilot light will go off when the

water has boiled or the kettle is

removed from the base.

If you want to stop the heating process

before the kettle automatically switches

off, simply press the ON/OFF switch

(H) up or lift up the jug from the base.

If you want to reheat water which has

already been heated, press the

ON/OFF switch (H) down again.

When the water has boiled the kettle

will switch off automatically. If the kettle

is only filled with a little water, it takes

longer to switch off.

Safety System

This appliance is equipped with a

boildry safety cut-out. This feature

protects the appliance from

overheating when started without

water or from boiling until it is empty

if used with the lid open. If the

appliance is accidently switched on

What To Do If ...

• The appliance switches off before

boiling?

– The base of the kettle is too thickly

scaled. Treat with standard

commercial descaling agent

suitable for stainless steel. Note

the directions for use from the

manufacturer.

• The appliance does not switch off?

– Close lid until it locks.

– Insert the strainer correctly.

• The kettle pours badly?

– Descale the strainer insert.

• The appliance cannot be switched on?

– After operating with very little or no

water, the appliance has not yet

cooled sufficiently. Wait a short

time before trying again.

KESELAMATAN UMUM

• Teko ini hanya boleh dipasang pada

catu daya listrik dengan voltase yang

sama dengan informasi di label

informasi (K)!

• Jangan sekali-kali menarik kabel untuk

melepaskan steker dari stopkontak,

namun tariklah stekernya.

• Bila kabel listrik teko rusak, penggantian

kabel hanya boleh dilakukan oleh

Electrolux atau pusat layanan

pelanggannya atau teknisi listrik terlatih

untuk menghindari resiko bahaya.

• Jangan menggunakan teko bila teko

pernah jatuh atau terlihat mengalami

kerusakan.

• Perbaikan pada alat ini hanya boleh

dilakukan oleh teknisi servis

berkualifikasi. Perbaikan yang tidak

sempurna dapat menyebabkan bahaya

yang cukup besar. Bila diperlukan

perbaikan, hubungi Bagian Layanan

• Teko ini tidak untuk digunakan oleh

memiliki kekurangan fisik, sensorik,

atau mental atau kurang pengalaman

dan pengetahuan kecuali dengan

pengawasan atau petunjuk terlebih

dahulu mengenai pemakaian teko oleh

orang yang bertanggung jawab atas

keselamatan mereka.

KESELAMATAN ANAK-ANAK

• Izinkan anak-anak menggunakan teko

ekspres hanya dengan pengawasan.

• Awasilah anak-anak dengan sangat

seksama!

• Anak-anak tidak boleh bermain-main

dengan material kemasan, seperti

kantung plastik.

HAL-HAL YANG HARUS DIINGAT SAAT

MENGOPERASIKAN TEKO LISTRIK

• Sebelum menyalakan teko, pastikan

kabel listrik dan steker dalam keadaan

kering.

• Jangan menggunakan teko dengan

tangan basah.

• Jangan menggunakan teko di luar

ruangan.

• Saat menggunakan teko ekspres,

dapat terjadi temperatur tinggi yang

dapat menyebabkan melepuh bila teko

tidak ditangani dengan hati-hati. Karena

itu, pegang teko hanya pada handel

(F) yang tersedia.

• Jangan menggunakan teko tanpa

diawasi. Jangan menempatkan teko

pada permukaan panas atau di dekat

nyala api terbuka.

• Perhatian: Bila isi teko terlalu banyak,

bisa terjadi resiko di mana air mendidih

muncrat. Karena itu jangan sekali-kali

mengisi teko melampaui tanda

maksimum.

• Gunakan teko hanya untuk

memanaskan air! Jangan memasukkan

bahan atau bumbu masak ke dalam

teko. Jangan sekali-kali memanaskan

susu atau kuah sup di dalam teko!

Jangan menempatkan benda padat

apapun di dalam teko!

• Jangan menggunakan teko dengan

tutup (D) terbuka karena akan

menyebabkan fungsi pemadaman

otomatis tidak dapat bekerja.

• Jangan memindahkan teko saat teko

sedang menyala.

• Jangan merendam teko dalam cairan!

• Lindungi teko dan kabelnya dari panas

dan basah.

• Bila teko ini digunakan untuk tujuan

lain atau tidak digunakan secara tidak

benar, produsen tidak bertanggung

jawab atas kerusakan yang dapat

terjadi.

• Selalu kosongkan teko hingga tuntas.

Jangan meninggalkan sisa air dalam

teko untuk jangka waktu lama.

• Jangan menyalakan teko dalam

keadaan kosong.

• Gunakan teko hanya dengan alas

aslinya.

Pembuangan

MATERIAL KEMASAN

Material kemasan terbuat dari bahan

ramah lingkungan dan dapat didaur

ulang. Komponen-komponen plastik

diberi tanda, misalnya >PE<, >PS<,

dan sebagainya. Buanglah material

kemasan dalam wadah yang sesuai

pada fasilitas pembuangan sampah

kota.

PERALATAN BEKAS

Simbol

pada produk atau pada

kemasannya menunjukkan bahwa

produk ini tidak dapat diperlakukan

sebagai limbah rumah tangga. Namun

teko bekas harus diserahkan kepada

pusat pengumpulan untuk daur ulang

perlengkapan listrik dan elektronik.

Dengan memastikan bahwa teko ini

dibuang dengan benar, anda akan

membantu mencegah dampak negatif

potensial untuk lingkungan dan

kesehatan manusia, yang dapat

disebabkan oleh penanganan limbah

produk ini secara tidak benar. Untuk

Penggunaan Teko Anda

Sebelum menggunakan teko baru anda,

anda harus membersihkan bagian dalam

dan luarnya dengan kain lembab untuk

alasan higiene.

PEMAKAIAN PERTAMA

Tempatkan unit alas (J) pada

permukaan yang keras.

Pasang steker listrik ke stopkontak.

Bila panjang kabel listrik melampaui

keperluan, kabel dapat digulung di

bawah alas teko(J).

Tekan tombol (E) ke bawah untuk

membuka tutup (D).

Isilah dengan air sekurang-kurangnya

hingga terlihat pada indikator tinggi air

(G), namun tidak lebih tinggi dari tanda

Maksimum.

Rapatkan tutup (D) hingga kaitannya

mengunci. Saklar padam otomatis

hanya dapat berfungsi dengan

handal bila hal ini dilakukan.

Letakkan teko pada alas (J) pada

posisi apapun yang anda inginkan.

Tekan tombol ON/OFF (H) ke bawah,

lampu indikator akan menyala dan teko

mulai memanaskan air.l

Saklar ON/OFF (H) hanya akan

mengait bila teko berada pada unit

alasnya (J).

Jangan menggunakan air dari siklus

pendidihan pertama untuk menyiapkan

makanan.

Pemadaman Otomatis

Teko akan mati secara otomatis dan

lampu indikator akan padam bila air

telah mendidih atau teko diangkat dari

alasnya.

Bila anda ingin menghentikan proses

pemanasan sebelum teko padam

secara otomatis, geser tombol ON/OFF

(H) ke atas atau angkat teko dari

alasnya. Bila anda ingin memanaskan

ulang air yang telah pernah dipanaskan,

tekan lagi tombol ON/OFF (H) ke

bawah.

Setelah air mendidih, teko akan mati

secara otomatis. Bila teko hanya berisi

sedikit air, waktu yang diperlukan

sebelum mati sendiri akan lebih lama.

Sistem Pengaman

Teko ini dilengkapi dengan sistem

pengaman didih-kering. Hal ini

melindungi teko dari menjadi terlalu

panas bila dinyalakan tanpa air atau

dari kondisi mendidih hingga menjadi

kosong bila digunakan dengan tutup

terbuka. Bila teko menyala secara tidak

sengaja tanpa air, teko akan terlindung

terhadap panas berlebih secara

otomatis. Proses pemanasan akan

terhenti secara otomatis. Sebelum

menggunakan teko lagi, tunggulah

hingga dingin selama 5 hingga 10

menit.

Pembersihan

Dan Perawatan

Selalu cabut steker teko dari

stopkontak sebelum membersihkan

teko.

Jangan sekali-kali membersihkan teko

dan alasnya di bawah air mengalir atau

merendamnya dalam air untuk

mencucinya.

Sesekali bilas teko dengan air bersih

Bersihkan bagian luar teko hanya

dengan lap lembab. Jangan

menggunakan zat kaustik atau

pembersih abrasif apapun.

Tahan sisipan tapisan (B) pada gagang

(1) dan angkat sisipan untuk

dibersihkan.

Alas pemanas terbuat dari baja tahan

karat. Namun bila muncul bintik-bintik

atau karat, hal tersebut hanya endapan

yang menempel di permukaan. Bintik-

bintik tersebut dapat dibuang menggu-

nakan zat pembersih baja tahan karat.

Pembuangan Kerak

Endapan kerak kapur di dasar teko

menyebabkan hilangnya energi dan dapat

mempengaruhi umur pakai teko. Teko

akan mati sebelum airnya mendidih bila

lapisan kerak terlalu tebal. Pada saat

tersebut, kerak sudah sangat sulit untuk

dibersihkan. Kerak pada teko harus

dibuang secara teratur sesuai tingkat

kesadahan air. Gunakan zat pembuang

kerak dan ikuti petunjuk-petunjuknya;

terutama pilihlah zat pembuang kerak yang

ramah lingkungan yang cocok untuk baja

tahan karat sesuai petunjuk dari pabrik.

Pertama-tama isi dengan air, kemudian

dengan persiapan pembuangan kerak

standar yang tidak terlalu kuat.

Jangan mendidihkan larutan tersebut

karena akan meluapkan busanya.

Setelah pembuangan kerak, bilas teko

dengan tuntas menggunakan air

bersih. Jangan menuangkan zat

pembuang kerak ke dalam mangkuk

enamel dan jangan menggunakan

ulang larutan pembersih tersebut.

Apa Yang Harus

Dilakukan Bila ...

• Teko mati sebelum airnya mendidih?

– Kerak di dasar teko terlalu tebal.

Atasi dengan zat pembuang kerak

komersial standar yang sesuai

untuk baja tahan karat. Perhatikan

petunjuk pemakaian dari

produsennya.

• Teko tidak dapat dinyalakan?

– setelah beroperasi dengan sangat

sedikit atau tanpa air, teko belum

didiamkan cukup lama hingga

dingin. Tunggulah beberapa saat

sebelum mencoba kembali.
